there is the Capoeira Angola style which is the oldest style used by slaves it is the precursor of Regional style. Its focus were agility and furtive strikes being done while standing and on the with movements that appear weird but are always keeping the opponent in close and checking range.
Eddie uses the modern style created in the 1970s which combines moves from Angola style and Regional style but focusing a lot more in the acrobatics aspects. It is more like a sport.
they are 3 completely different schools.
for exemple, regional doesn't have a belt promotion system like modern with 10 ranks. you train and pass the tests like a self defense system not martial art. once you pass the final test you get a blue scarf. if you want to become a specialist, you undergo a far harder test and get a red scarf. then there is the 3rd level course used to become a master. if you pass the test you get a white scarf.
