The new Abyss, Portal, and Haven archetypes are interesting, but they just can't compete in the current meta. As in, they would have made fun decks if this was like early SV1, but as it currently is there's no room for decks that want to play like this. Control decks that manage to last until the lategame get destroyed by Rune before they can use their wincons, while decks that waste time building incremental value get crushed by Sword's power plays. It makes me worry Cygames had no idea what kind of decks would emerge when they made the first sets.

The more I think about Raio the worst the card gets, If you have Cocytus in hand, it bricks you and makes him unplayable. If you have D-Climb it bricks you and makes D-Climb unplayable. Spellboost doesn't care much about followers so the upside of reducing follower cost doesn't help you. And in pure Dirt it comes out after Lilanthem so you can't even cheat out the boss monster easier. This card serves 0 purpose and actively HURTS the deck its in. I have never seen a card so badly designed

Puppets lose 20/80 to rune.
Puppets lose 10/90 to Roach.
Puppets lose 30/70 to Sword.
Puppets win 80/20 to Aggro Abyss.
Puppets lose 30/70 to midrange abyss.
Puppets win 20/80 to ward haven.

The primary problem with puppets is that you have to highroll 2 orchis to win -
Or your opponent has to brick so you can get early chip damage in to win so you only need odin + orchis

The deck is incredibly inconsistent.

Even if you highroll against rune - they simply heal through your assault.
Roach ends the game faster than you no matter your highroll.
Sword is only a bit easier because they rarely heal, so any damage sticks - problem with sword is Amalia. Fuck that card.

They need to specialize the heal cards to be more dirt specific so Rune good stuff stops being a thing.
Norman needs to use 2 dirt for its effects since any of them are too good
Teachings needs to use 1 dirt to heal.

Spellboost rune can get away with so much shit because they just add the minimal amount of dirt shitters to fill the low curve and they get infinite sustain for the rest of the game letting them do Satan Dclimb without being punished too much
