The way i understand it is you are creating grandparents passively every time you whiff on getting a 3* blue anyway
you keep the 1* blues that came out with a good suite of white sparks and use them on the next horse and maybe the whites get passed on while you continue fishing

Can someone explain how the finals rewards are going to work because they don't make any sense to me

Why does first place get 4 titles, 3 of which they are literally never going to use, while 2nd and 3rd place get nothing?

Also what do the 1 2 3 placings even mean? Is that individual umas or teams overall?
Does it mean you can get for example both 2nd and 3rd place in the race and end up with more carat rewards than the guy in 1st?
Or are the placings averaged out somehow between your 3 horses so that all 3 players get one of the rewards?

I'm going to spend the next 3 hours building a Pace Chaser Silence Suzuka for the CM finals and there's nothing you can do to stop me.

Sometimes you can't make a grandparent without a great grand parent enabling them.
Like say you need to pass dirt on, but you need to use Bondor and Baiki, who have only B dirt. You don't want Burara anywhere in your lineage because of bad affinity, so you use her dirt sparks to farm for a condor and taiki with their own dirt sparks and THEN they can inspire the parent of the eventual ace.

Maybe you want a specific 6 uniques, but you also want 6 LONG sparks, but not all of those umas have LONG proficiency A. Well, the ones with G you probably have to cope and take Turf, but the ones with E or better can be sparked up by their own lineage so they can get long sparks of their own to pass onto the ace.

Maybe you HAVE to use a certain borrowed uma to get what you need, but the affinity is shit and your sparks just aren't happening. You NEED to match it's G1 wins with your other parent and it's grandparents to get affinity to @, but all of it's races are miles where your umas can only run med/long. Well, the great great grandparents can give the grandparents the mile sparks they need, and the great grandparents can give the parent the mile sparks it needs, and the final Ace won't have to inherit any mile aptitude at all.
