Game doesn't have enough human representation, so I came up with a character based on Eugene Sandow and gachimuchi

1 - Shotput - targeted attack similar to Geist bomb. Upon connect, does damage in an aoe, knocks down airborne enemies and shackles for a short duration. If it misses, does a small amount of aoe damage
2 - Handspring Headscissor Takedown - Movement ability. If an opponent gets hit by it, enter into a headscissor that does damage and pins them down.
3 - Aura of the Gods - Passive: Melee attacks gain damage every time Eugene connects. Active: turn on an enemy debuff/team buff aura with a very short range with your immense physical beauty.
4- The Pillar of Perfection - Eugene grabs a giant corinthian column and begins swinging it gracefully. Melee attack triggers a swing. Scales off of melee damage. Enemies hit go flying, so it's great inside but needs good positioning to use outside. Short duration to avoid being too strong in a teamfight.

It's been this way for 13 years when icefrog started to seriously balance DotA. Some heroes can be played extremely well at the tippy top level, and DotA is a game that is meant to be watched/streamed live. Chen, Wisp would rape everyone in pro matches, so they had to be nerfed to not be picked every single match (despite being dogshit in 2-4k mmr pubs with uncooperative randoes, 95% of the playerbase)

Ivy is in a similar position.

>grenade allows her to farm quickly, safely shove lanes and stall pushes

And on top of that she heals others for any healing she receives, and healing tempo gives a fire rate boost. Icefrog pushed her into an overpowered support hero, but people want to get kills and do damage, so they pick Ivy and then are confused that Ivy shoots styrofoam nerf darts and melees with a pool styrofoam noodle toy, not realizing Ivy's role is to give Mo&Krill an uber and Wraith/Haze/Infernus a blowjob, and has been balanced to be that support hero. Is this strong in a pub full of uncooperative randoms who are all bad at the game? No, Ivy sucks in that scenario.

Icefrog doesn't communicate or share reasoning about his balance changes. Hope this clears up confusion to why the most popular hero is such dogshit in pubs.

Forgot to add, Ivy could become a fun pub hero that gets picked every match and players are happy to have them in every match, a la pudge. All Icefrog would have to do is:

and then buff her gun damage to not purposely be weaker than LITERALLY EVERY OTHER HERO IN THE GAME. What happened to pudge was his movespeed was gutted, his slow from rot was gutted, his passive health gain from kills was gutted so even if you get kills, you don't benefit nearly as much, and pudge was reworked into a support hero who hooks teammates and heals them, so Ivy is likely a support hero for the rest of this game's lifespan

Deadlock, for some odd reason, has 100% accuracy on moving while shooting, but you go slower, to the point where fleetfoot is a default buy anyway on most all characters.
