Honestly, I just wanna say how much I appreciate being here in SF6 after spending years in 5v5 team-based games.
I’ve got 1.000+ hours in Valorant (peaked Immortal 2) and 4.000+ hours in CS2 (Faceit lvl10, 2.600 elo), and looking back now, I don’t even know how I had the patience for that.

The amount of games I dropped just because teammates gave up in round 2, or because the whole match turned into a coin flip depending on who I got queued with… it was so draining. 40 minutes wasted for a loss even if I played well, -25 elo just because someone tilted or trolled.

Here in SF6 it’s so different. Every match feels pure. No excuses, no coin flip, no “my team threw.” If I win, it’s me. If I lose, it’s me. It’s just straight skill expression, head to head, and that feels so much more rewarding.

And the best part? The time efficiency. I can literally hop on, play a full set in under 10 minutes, and actually value my time. There’s no 40-minute commitment just to see it all wasted. Every match counts, every round teaches me something, and I can immediately queue for the next one.

After grinding team games for years, SF6 feels like a breath of fresh air. I can’t stress enough how much more I appreciate my time here compared to what I came from.

i might stick to chilling in plat and spamming headbutts, it seems much more fun than doing whatever the fuck good players do
i will say that monster hunter is a very casual and satisfying game to play once you become familiar with it, and grinding hunts with your friends to craft cool weapons and armor sets has very few unpleasant moments
didn't get the drops you wanted? fuck it, just hunt again, you're playing against a robot that was designed to be beaten, not another human being who'll fuck you in the ass if you make a single mistake
casual games always tend to sell more than difficult games

Generally by the time people get intermediate to advanced at a game they've learned its tech, they just can't put it all together
Beyond that, people are putting it all together with increasing effectiveness as you get up to pro level
People whine and cry that "SF6 is the same thing from gold up to capcom cup" but it's just flat out untrue, I don't know what to say. High level players have a far, FAR better sense for risk and reward than lower rank players and will be far more successful on defensive reads while also opening people up on offense more by rotating their options, people at low rank are actually guessing because they don't have that inbuilt sense of risk/reward that people who have played at high level for thousands of hours do.
And again this only sinks in for some people, I think it's what they call the "gene"

There's a huge difference in unconscious thought between people playing the game at an intermediate level and at a high level
Pic related, 90% of the game has become automatic to them and that frees them up to think about the small advantages they can get over another high skill opponent to take the set

imagine being in your 30s grinding SF6 late at night for net +30 MR and you have work on 5 hours. You play a retarded character like gief or mai too so you literally did not learn anything, you just rolled the dice for 4 hours after your shit job.
