Meter is too easy to get in this game for that to be the case.

I'd want meter refund removed, but even that might be too much, simply because most refund routes are from counter hits (fine) or RS > RC, meaning an inherit use of a BP

A better way to fix BC is to make it more akin to dead angles rather than bursts. You remove the full blowback, and make them more punishable, whilst also making them recover quick on successful use. It would speed up the game, but that's better than a lame BC that even if blocked leads to a guessing game of the opponent still being plus or who throws first.

It's kinda like that. 25% meter might look like too little, like you get that from just walking forward for a few seconds. But that 25% will be the difference between you cashing out on SBA and killing someone or not, it will be difference between you being able to uDP under pressure or not, it will be the difference between having that Ultimate Soriz Punch available at the perfect time to turn the tables on the match... or not.
It will also make the game more dynamic as now meter will also have a defensive use and not be solely offense oriented, kinda like Faultless Defense in GG.

DP motions in modern fighting games are awful. Every one of their input reading systems store that forward movement indefinitely and have so many "shortcuts" that it will still make a clean 6...236 into a DP. Have to do some bullshit like 41236 after walking forward just to prevent the DP from taking precedence over the fireball.

There's a correct way to input it, if you input it wrong your first frame is vulnerable, you might be running into that.
The correct way is Forward + Heavy (or Medium in this case) and mash Skill, if I recall correctly.

I just feel like I'm always at a disadvantage no matter what range I'm at.
At long range, one forward roll or well times jump in against my zoning attempts results in a spacing where another roll will either punish me or result in a melee interaction where I'm at a massive disadvantage, and that is even completely disregarding any character that can just neutral skip my projectiles on reaction.
At mid range my projectiles are way too minus to do anything and f.H has such a terrible hurtbox that it's barely even viable.
And at close range her slow buttons and sub par converions make her a non-threat in general.

I fully realize that I might just need to become better in neutral but really, any advice is appreciated.
