"My Sweet Passion" is not about Amy being a sicko, that's just how you interpreted it. But your interpretation is not what the song is about. Amy is passionate and intense to contrast Sonic's cool and aloof attitude, and that's the basis of their romantic dynamic. And there is nothing wrong with the concept, it's meant to be fun and playful, Amy is not meant to be written off as a joke or treated like a creeper. Amy's desires are that of a young energetic girl who is in love with love, not some psycho stalker rapist trying to capture and tie down Sonic.

Everything you're saying boils down to saying that Sonic Team is wrong about Amy, that YOUR interpretation is the right one, and that based on your own interpretation against all official sources, Amy is a garbage character. That is the conclusion you came to, and it is complete disingenuous garbage.

Comparing Amy to Sally is also nonsensical because the basis of both their dynamics with Sonic are two different things. Comparing Amy to Sally is like comparing Tails to Knuckles. The very concept of how they interact with Sonic is radically different. Sonic and Sally are equals who stand on common ground as leaders but are complete opposites of one another despite aligning in overall goal. Amy's dynamic with Sonic is based in her having to "catch up" to him, and improve on herself in order to reach common ground with him.

Amy's story mirrors Tails, in both having to become strong and independent in order to become Sonic's equals. And obviously, neither Amy nor Tails have any desire to hold Sonic back. They both are motivated by wanting to help Sonic, support Sonic, be like Sonic, be by his side, etc. In different ways, of course.

Amy wants a life of adventure, not a domestic one. That is the canon fact.

I bring up the manga because Naoto Ohshima was directly involved with its cast, all at the same time as Amy's own conceptualization in-general. So the manga as the first depiction of Amy's character is relevant to the greater context of her character in-general, as it's effectively a prototype version of her before her official in-game debut. Regardless, the actual Amy as she was described and portrayed from CD to the Adventure era and all Sonic Team material... is an energetic and tomboyish girl driven by passion and enthusiasm.
