Alright Shiv bros, after coming back to the game I was disappointed in all the massive amount of nerfs he's gotten and thought he was unplayable but after trying some more and experimenting, I really think this is the build.

Radiant regen+Healing tempo is really the key here. Mystic/Radiant is good for general sustain, giving you regen any time you stick somebody and the buff will persist 5+ seconds after your knives stop bleeding AND it stacks making it amazing in team fights, mystic shot can also trigger the regen buff too.
Radiant regen gives you a heal and gives you a small move speed boost any time you cast an ability BUT if you combine this with healing tempo it triggers it's effect, which collectively gives you a heal, 40% fire rate, and +3.5 move speed. Healbane is also a great combo here, giving you a massive HP boost any time you execute someone and then buffing you after.

Most games I end up grabbing debuff remover too, it's just too good considering how many debuffs are in the game now. If I REALLY need to be tanky, juggernaut is amazing as well.

The passive delays damage essentially turning it into a DoT. The orange health is the health you will lose to this DoT. When you press 3 you heal a small portion of this health. The heal is often not that significant but if you take a lot of burst it can be big.

My most recent love is Magik from Marvel Rivals (Melee brawler/assassin). Traditionally I seemed to gravitate towards "solo" heroes that kind of do their own thing independent of your team. e.g. Sombra, Naga. Somewhat applicable to Magik. My aim is OKAY but I am more interested in the moba ability and decision making aspect. And yes I of course appreciate mobility.

No it's actually a symptom of how the MMR works. First they find 12 people with a similarish average MMR on all their selected heroes, adjusting your MMR based on those arrow in your profile. Then the game tries to make two teams out of those 12 people that it deems fair: similar adjusted MMR, adjusted again based on whether or not people got their first picks or if the teams have a good comp in the eyes of the match maker. If it can't make what it deems fair teams you return to the MM pool but the game never tells you any of this.

the tl;dr of this is you are more likely to get them if you pick all characters with similar arrows on your profile because the MM is more likely to be able to make what it deems "fair teams" from your choices.

I keep forgetting counterspell is a thing but debuff remover is still neccesary. Counterspell can protect you from one (maybe multiple) abilities but debuff protects you from....everything else.
