It is called a build, retard. Taking chip damage is part of the plan, Resentment. You dont need 500 defense and guard up. Just press two button in a row to have gigantic PG frames. It is easier than SnS.

FU is still gen 2 and it's not even just palicoes I'm talking about all of it. Decorations and armor spheres made it easier to just stick with one set so no need to grind monsters and git gud. They also made bouncing way less relevant with all the new weapons and moves that just ignore bouncing in gen 2. I haven't ran out of money once either because of the send to box option as well. There were a lot of changes in gen 2 to just make the game easier.

I'm not sure how the set anamoly quests work but I imagine you can just get low level anamoly parts from them as well. I think the reason the anamoly system works so well is because it's basically a combination of the guild quest system from 4U and the hyper monsters system from GU and then it improves on them as well. I wonder how they'll improve on this system even more in P6

I'm at 43 Kirin kills, 30 of them were in the guiding lands level 7 coral which has the same odds as the best investigation. I'm missing both crowns on that one. The ones I'm more worried about are nergigante and vaal hazak because they're high rank only.
Scarred yian garuga is also going to be a pain since the best way to fight it is by getting forest to level 7, which means I'll need to reset one of my area and grind a bunch of trash.

I like the guiding lands so I don't mind grinding them, it's just that doing hr quests for basically no reward is a bit draining. I don't get fuel for steamwork, I'm basically unkillable so there is no challenge and most of the fight is just going from point A to point B, I need mr points not hr points so I don't even bother finishing the quests, none of the material matters since they're hr. At least with the mr crown quests, there is a fight with a slight risk of carting if I facetank everything.

People didn't want to double dip again after doing it for world, load times on switch were better than load times for PS4 world so it was a bit more tolerable if you didn't want to double dip for rise, and mainline is more popular. We've seen with rise people are willing to tolerate unfinished gameplay and easy monsters.
It all comes down to performance with wilds.
The game had majority shit fights, shit optimization, graphics and the shittiest story so far (like, one (1) good cutscene in the entire first release). There were literally almost no positives to the release other than novelty.
If they'd fixed the optimization, and by extension graphics issues, no one would be complaining at this point, as the fights did get considerably better (except for the HP sponges) and new content is consistent.
