You have two digimons clearly inspired by Gabumon and Palmon, but they decided to give them different names and design so they would be different Digimons.
And then they just make Agumon uglier and call it a day, like, they could had made a new Digimon inspired by Agumon, just give him Greymon's brown helmet and call it "Helmetmon" or some bullshit and that's it, no need to redesign what it was a perfect design.
And most people agree, because in other games and shows, when Agumon appears, it's the classic agumon, not the savers one.
