Missing absurd amounts of stuff. Special intel missions (that PDA on your belt? Of course most of that could have been just cut content but so far they have been consistently releasing that shit. I mean, people were posting videos of the upcoming missile silo stratagem at release and it was fully fucking functional and was even tested so people knew exact fucking stats of it. People were discussing in this very thread that it will trivialize Bots because you'll be able to just kill Jammers easily because Ultimatum wasn't probably even concieved in Swede heads at that point.
It's actually infuriating that so much was revealed but it slipped through our hands into obscurity at this point.

Probably some roundabout process of a mix of "give players something to actually grind for so there's still progression on the ground level" and "we balance this around the weapon baseline and not the peak".
Yeah the guns you invest in should, frankly, be the best you can fight for, but it puts collab weapons in a weird spot of needing to be niche or fun in their own right since you either hit Pay 2 Win complaints (despite not having to pay a dime past initial purchase if you grind enough), or get underpowered stuff that doesn't have a good role to fill. There's a reason why the Liberator Penetrator is a part of the base free warbond so players have two solid AR options in the game and technically don't "need" anything else unless they want variety and other stuff to mess with.

What's there to stealth? The only useful "stealth" in this game is holding your fire until you're in position to light all of the enemies the fuck up, and the loudest weapons in the game do that just fine. There's no stealth archer shit in this game even if you try.

Forgive me if this is common knowledge but I just figured out how to kill Voteless and Overseers by walking into them with the Exosuit. It always annoyed me how you can walk into and kill terminids, but not Voteless which completely stop you in your tracks and don't take any damage.
The secret is walking diagonally. It's like it makes the Exosuit's foot hitbox extend past it's blocky frame or something but you can now walk into and effortlessly flatten hordes of Voteless and overseers. This tip probably works for automatons and other terminids too.

For those who have played Deep Rock Galactic, which game would you say is harder between it and Helldivers 2? Both in general and at the highest difficulty.

DRG is only "hard" if you struggle in the spacial reasoning department. I've seen my normalfag friends get completely god damned fucking lost in the caves, and blow their fucking minds every time that I use driller or engineer mini-nukes to make a shortcut between chambers.

I will give an honorable mention to the ceiling barnacles that are just rare enough that you start forgetting that they're an actual enemy. They can sucker punch you after not seeing them for hours.

HD2 is far less dependent on your team not being window lickers. DRG is far easier to spiral out of control with how enemies are largely just DPS sponges and the lack of easy panic buttons, so if you're the last one up, it's much more stressful. If everyone is competent, I'd say HD2 is easier on the hardest difficulties because there is more random deaths, but you're never in danger of failing the mission, while DRG is far easier to run out of supplies since you have to stop fighting to mine them instead of just running out a CD.

Honestly HD2 is a weird case where up until D10, solo play is entirely viable, and even then on D10 if you just focus on objectives strictly some missions can still be done reasonably. Most co-op shooters, even player-agnostic ones like Left 4 Dead where no player has special attributes to a team, will fuck your ass hard the instant you're alone or separated from a group, but it's entirely possible for 3 players to face a warfront and patrols endlessly while one dude runs the backyard and blitzes the outposts like a bat out of hell.

DRG and it's not even close. At least when I played a year or so ago. Haz 5 + Modifiers is non-stop hordes of bugs that can kill you in three hits. Ranged enemies in DRG can actually fucking aim. There's bugs that can stun you if you don't kill them first. There's environment traps that can insta-kill you. You have no extra lives, if the team wipes the run is over. You have to actually be aware of terrain because you can fall to your death and in half the environments there's massive holes and drops and shit. Terrain effects can slow you by 50%, do damage, freeze you, etc.
Modifiers in DRG do shit like spawn every single enemy with extra health/armor, spam spawn ranged sniper units, or constantly summon mini-boss type enemies that are cancer to deal with in large numbers.
If you don't have good weapon mods and are high level you will get kicked from Haz5 lobbies because every person has to carry their weight or you'll wipe. And you have to do all of the above while completing actual objectives like protecting a big ass robot that can die very quickly, or laying pipes throughout the level. Not pressing E on a console or typing in a code that takes half a second.

HD2 has literally never been difficult. It's a fucking cakewalk right now. You can solo 10s if you have half a brain and are using anything but the shittiest loadouts. The only time it was hard was due to horrendous weapon balance and enemies having laser aim.

I think HD2 is more fun but DRG is significantly harder.

I think the issue with the shotgun is that the shotgun in halo is a power weapon and the M90 is a primary weapon in this game. A shotgun that feels like it does in Halo would be closer to a support weapon, chunking armored units in one shot as longa s you're at point blank but that's gamier than they want I guess

I came here after trying out the epoch to complain about it but then i realized I didn't dislike it specifically but i do just hate the instant death mechanic. Both the epoch and the railgun suck because tempting fate to do slightly more/slightly less than alternatives just feels like shit. Why take the epoch when the RR does everything it can but better without having to risk death? Why take the railgun over the amr when the AMR has a usable scope with magnification and only takes two shots to kill a hulk that you could pop off in the time it takes to fully charge the railgun? Neither of these weapons upsides at full charge justify the risk of dying horribly and being stuck without a support weapon for 5-10 minutes. The upsides just aren't worth it.

It's always been forgiving. People are just exaggerating about the difficulty of it since they never spent time with either the Epoch. If you use the railgun it's the same timing but more pertinently, the damage of the Epoch isn't a gradiant like the railgun is. It's a binary "Not Charged" or "Charged" shot. Once you realize that, you find out you have way more leeway to let go of the shot than you think.

Eruptor and Crossbow are really fucking good against bile spitters and will give you a really nice aoe tool if you combo it with some rapid fire support weapon
The thermite grenade is incredibly good against chargers/hulks and anything heavily armored.
The explosion-resistant armor is very good against bots.

Democratic Detonation has the Adjudicator, Eruptor, Thermite Grenades, Grenade Pistol, and Explosive Crossbow. Adjud is a solid medium penetration AR that doesn't have the Liberator Penetrator's ammo count but does pack more damage per bullet (the MA5C in the ODST warbond is kind of the middle ground between the two), Eruptor is a powerful but slow explosive rifle, the pistol and crossbow are about what you'd expect as weapons for denser targets or objectives, and the Thermite Grenades stick to enemies they land on which can seriously wound or outright kill certain very heavy foes when used right. The best way to summarize it is both what its name implies for explosive opportunities, and general workhorse weapons when you want something with punch in a primary or secondary slot and one of if not the best grenades in the game.
As a newer player myself though, I can't figure what comes after that; some recommend Polar Patriots for the Tenderizer that can operate like a burst battle rifle, and the Verdict being a solid secondary with medium penetration; Chemical Agents has the area-of-denial Gas Grenades that may make teammates weary but are surprisingly effective; and Servants of Freedom packs the Ultimatum and Portable Hellbomb, which are great for just telling heavies, enemy dense areas and objectives to fuck off.

After you're done with Democratic Detonation, you can pick 2 paths:

all that ammo at the back end of the weapon means more weight in holding it by your shoulder, rather than the magazine's changing weight from being emptied out towards the front end of the weapon; theoretically this makes them more readily able to be kept steady and recoil controlled. this allows barrels to also be more compact by no longer needing to be extended so close to the magwell. however, since bullpups are non-standard in real life for most, it's a bit difficult to figure how to deal with it, and magazine operation and magwell cleaning is often more of a pain in the ass, plus all that weight centered on a shoulder sling instead of spread across the weapon more evenly makes them a bit more cumbersome for carrying.
