I run my slaves nude with only collars and I have more slaves than colonist so I am struggling with suppression, I am currently doing a ritual execution every 3 days to keep revolts at bay but that is annoying.
I don't want to mod it away though, wish there was a more dedicated warden role, there is a mod that adds that and flogging but it has not been updated to 1.6 yet.

Tested the collars mod, it gave all my slaves a -20 'I have been slaved' mood even though most have been with me for years.
I still need to test the collars but they apply a -20 to suppression lost, which just removes it completely, I hope I can edit the file and move it back to -15.

So you want basically unique pawns, right? As in a pawn that always has a name and always has a certain combo of things. You'd probably want to look at the code for backer pawns then. I'm not at my PC right now but I'll give the files a look when I get home, try looking in the language files Mods/Core/Languages/English/ for stuff. If you have Notepad++ try searching for Namer_Tome in the directory filtered to .xml so it doesn't take forever. It also could be C# nested, in which case it'd be altogether outside of .xml. Yes, that's definitely TPS death. Try performance mods like Slower Pawn Tick Rate. I personally use Better GC: Mothballed and World Pawns to nuke world pawns especially now that Performance Fish isn't updated, but it might do bad things to your save if you set it to a very aggressive setting so be warned.

for ranged anytime is fine you just have to make sure they're safe in the back with weapons that have range like snipers, lances, or assault rifles if you're willing to risk it. if you can protect them with skipshield, or one of the shield mechs you can take more risks but they still should be in the back behind the adults, angled so they don't friendly fire them of course. for melee i wouldn't risk it unless the child has minimum touch and robust and only if they have good clothing and an adult is bodyblocking with them next to the adult, but melee is especially dangerous no matter what

Ancot Library isn't necessarily a TPS killer since my last playthrough with Milira had 700 TPS even on endgame, which was better than when I had Anomaly enabled. It probably interacts badly with certain other mods instead, though I don't really know.
