His summons are really fucking tanky since they go off the stats of their enemy counterpart, but with a multiplier from the ability itself.
Those level 100 summons can tank level 7000-8000 enemies easily.

warframe and weapon level determines what your mod capacity is. there is no statistical difference between a rank 0 weapon and a rank 30 weapon. If you want to be more powerful you have to put mods on your gear.
As a new player, youre going to see the biggest damage boosts from multishot, damage, and elemental mods.

It technically should be a bit tougher as you go to upper level areas, but starchart (read:normal mode) can be beaten with a decently modded weapons and warframe anyway.

Mission/enemy levels are dependent on the mission node itself
The further in the star chart you go, the higher their levels are (some modifiers change this around independent of the mission itself but the game is consistent in telling you what the levels will be before you enter a mission)
Weapon and frame levels are basically just experience but without the stat buffs like in a typical RPG; the more you use a weapon, the more it levels up, and you get more mod capacity for it up to the max level of 30. The crux of progression and making yourself stronger (and thus more viable against higher-level enemies) in Warframe is engaging with and learning the mod system.
Mastery rank (the bar under your profile) is just your weapon and frame levels combined into one big game completion bar; the more weapons and warframes you max out, the higher your MR is. Some content is locked behind MR, but you should be getting it at a steady pace if you just experiment with weapons and stuff.

QUESTION: I first got into Warframe around when Zephyr came out. I saw an ad for her and bought that deluxe bundle and had fun playing WF for a couple years. This was before the tilesets were revamped and the gameplay transitioned from being slower and tactical like left for dead and became a horse shooter with instant death lasers and incomprehensible build craft with rivens and such. I think it was the update that introduced Kuva or whatever where I started getting lost by what was going on, and then the earth open world and maybe the venus update with the hoverboard unlocks and grinds and so on. So many systems that I couldn't keep up and understand anything anymore, felt like it would have to be a full time job just to keep up. I was also getting peeved about farming the abyss/void/whatever it was called over and over to get prime blueprints, the prime blueprints I wanted being unavailable, Zephyr's deluxe skin with the wings never continually being delayed, and the main story about the Lotus barely going anywhere with 1 two or three hour long quest per year. After The Sacrifice I dropped. I think I was getting one shotted by lasers by sentients and just didn't want to do this anymore. What has changed since?

Most of the explanations are behind Simaris' scans.
Essentially: this is the far-off future. The super scientifically genius Orokin empire rose and terraformed most of the solar system. But they were huge assholes that basically killed people for fun.
The Origin System was then invaded by the Sentients, a species from the Tau System that could control technology so the Orokin had to use simpler means like guns and bioweapons to fight back. One of those was the Infestation, that is an ancient technovirus from a previous game called Dark Sector. They were really desperate.
Deimos is what happens when a containment zone for the Infestation is broken and the entire planet became a garden.
