I'll be honest, I'm not particularly looking forward to the next banlist. It's just going to be a bunch of stuff from last format that have already dropped off.
I don't trust Konami to give us an actual relevant banlist.

The thing is they don't even need to do much to make a good banlist, leave all the old shit alone, hit the loli Moon link to de-incentivize fiendsmith splashing, hit Hollie Sue to like 2 for now, hit Obedience School, ban Pair-o-Dice Smasher and unban a whole bunch of shit which has been needing to come off the list in ages.

Those hits don't kill any of the new decks, they're minor as fuck, they just ever so slightly drop their power level a little, no archetypal JUHU card is hit at all, none of the past format decks are needlessly killed, and we get a whole bunch of stuff back to play with like Savage Dragon etc.

I'd be satisfied with that, but no what's actually going to happen is it's going to be some predictable garbage like Mitsu Prayers to 1, a Ryzeal hit that doesn't need to happen, a Maliss hit that doesn't need to happen, just shit like that

If any of them were Imperm you deserved the loss. Imperm on Detonator on your turn forces him to pop himself to stay relevant which uses up the eclipse twin revive and caps his material at 2. Imperm by itself is worth multiple of detonator's interactions. Droplet is even better if you send a monster to strand it on the field.
Murakumo does nothing by itself except eat the last card in your hand as long as you don't play into either backrow (prayers or the negate trap) which will cause it to raigeki you in the following chain.

Assuming you're unfamiliar with the game/current competitive season, you're not going to get anything out of this weekend. World's is run on a custom banlist that combines TCG and OCG's limitations. It's basically a custom meme format for these 32~ players to figure out. There are decks that dominate either format that just won't be present because the other format neuters it too heavily, lots of stuff like that. Bystial Dragon Link won 2023 worlds when it was a pretty average deck by all accounts, the rest of the meta was just so heavily gutted that it was the best deck there.

In the TCG they usually just randomly out of the blue absolutely obliterate something.

I'm not someone who considers cards an investment, but let's be reasonable, most people cycle through cards buy/sell.

A fun different little package for Yummy I was messing around with for starting your plays was actually a Marincess package.

3 Blue Tang
1 Blue Slug
1 Sea Angel
1-2 Aqua Angel
1-2 Mandarin
I was using 2 each of Angel and Madarin
You can also opt for playing a single Dive for Angel to search which I did, you could just use it as a free card for something like a Cupsy Way pitch or use it before you end your turn to revive an extra body
I did also play 1 copy of Trickstar Lightstage

But anyway, basically you summon Tang dump Angel, revive Angel, link her and scope out their hand then you use their link 1's for the yummy stuff

If you have any two of the Marincess names but no yummy cards you can still get to your Yummy combo too
If you have Tang+one of the others, you just summon Tang, dump the other name you dont have , summon Angel, Make sure to make Blue Slug for the arrow, then summon Mandarin, this works in either direction

If you have Angel+Mandarin you just summon either one, make Slug, special the other, works the same.

This was just a fun and different way to go about the deck I came across of cards from that archetype that happened to work in an interesting manner with the Yummies that you might not expect.

Plus it gives you bodies with more stars to make bigger synchros, best range is levels 6-8

Silvera is a fantastic 6 to make with this setup that it also a Tuner letting you make another on summon level 7-8 sychro on the opponents turn while still also having the bodies to do the normal Yummy stuff as well

Seems like an extremely heavy package, especially considering it'll only ever be fodder for the first yummy synchro summon, with the hand peek. Getting mulcharmy'd is what really sucks for any combo deck going first so I don't think the hand looking is as useful as it could be, much less for Yummy who can play into Nibiru and not get completely raped, using the surprise early and pivoting into the link 2 that sets it back via the token. I think sadly the Striker engine is just the most compact and efficient way of getting early access to Yummy synchros, they can even tech a Widow Anchor or Eagle Booster if they wanna get crazy. Your way does handle Droll better just for not playing directly into it like Engage does, I'll say that much

Do you wanna know what this general lacks these days which we used to have? None of you make any interesting decks. You all just play shit that is already solved. New cards come out, that's what you play a few times then you move on.
We used to have people that played unique decks that they themselves defined. I haven't seen anybody do that here in about a year now.

I could throw together a more soulful deck in 10 minutes than anything we've seen played in a year here. Seriously though.
