It's also a largely CPU bound game. Running RTX 2080 Super as a gift, i7-6700 on a 2016 pre-built I can't readily replace without a total new computer. Your basic Liberator will take you further than medium pen shutters will admit. I think it's genuinely good on all fronts. Some specialized weapons from the basic bond are the Punisher and Breaker for bugs as they're high power shotguns, the Diligence or CS variant for bots or the Scythe for popping heads. Honestly for squids the Liberator is still probably your best option unless you want to run the Penetrator for headshot damage.

As for stratagems you can either pick horde clear, anti-tank, or a swiss army knife. Horde clear are mostly the machine guns, the best anti tank is the Recoilless Rifle, and your jack of all trades are gonna be the Laser Cannon, Auto cannon, and AMR.

impalers are kind of amusing from a gameplay perspective.
in hd1, they were some real cancer to deal with, being "kill on sight" enemies due to how they cause area denial, and often are off-screen
in hd2, any nigger spamming the stalwart or scorcher into its brain kills it. its more of a nuisance that ragdolls you when you least expect it, while being unpredictable
you have this giant, massive armored bug, that dies to a retard blasting 50 rounds from the stalwart into its forehead. which might be 1-2 seconds at fuller RPM.

The upcoming gloom event also doesn't matter as they can have us either push into the gloom or we can just jump off any planet we have nearby. The idea that we can't have free reign of the map is small brain thinking.

This wouldn't even happen. One, we've proven time and time again we can't coordinate on our own for shit. It would be objectively more fun to engage in cat and mouse and tug of war than an endless sloggy stalemate.

I can see why some consider it the best medium penetration AR. If you're not a person that uses a scope on something like the Adjudicator and like more personal engagements, it's a completely viable alternative to the Adj besides a vertical grip, and the MA5C is still quite manageable without one.
