I had this problem but I picked up the "tabby" one and it sucks the least of all the ones I looked at, just need to match the tail shell
I wanted to like the leopard one but it has too much baked into all its versions. The chest and stomach being skintone probably helped gateway me into it at least

Apparently I was crutching on an impression of depth from the other skin being so dark and blending different
I think it'll be okay with just slight changes, namely the ear fluff since it doesn't work out with satellite dishes
