ts4 is a content creation tool disguised as a game. This becomes obvious when you see how the game and the packs are being marketed. The focus on aesthetics over actual gameplay, the actual content being more focused on deco content over functional gameplay…even ts4 creators mostly focusing on CAS or BB because they’re the only relatively fleshed out, functional parts of the game

if your playing style revolves fucking around CAS or building things, maybe modeling things, treating it some kind of creation tool, then yeah you will get a lot of mileage around TS4.

But if you want any actual gameplay? You’re better off doing TS2 or TS3 and download your favorite 4toX conversions

Is it just me, or is does the sims language in the sims 4 feel a little off and disappointing? Throught 1,2,3, the language changed a bit, but it always felt very distinctly "sims-like", whereas the sims 4 feel different. The sims 4 language feels like its made by an entirely different crew of people who tried to imitate simlish, but didn't quite succeed at it. I'm not sure how to describe it, it just feels off and like it's lost it's soul.

I usually just go into the gallery, get an attractive sim (created by someone else) as a basis, and then adjust that sim to the way I want them to be. If you aren't an expert on human anatomy/bone structure that is a very effective way of creating your own sim, while making sure you have an attractive basis. And even if you are an expert on facial bone structure, it's still a very time efficient way to get a base to work on.

As for the lewd part, what exactly do you mean by a "lewd sim"? Them having sexy clothes? Genitals? You can just add those things to any sim.

There's a bunch of silly behaviors the game has with languages. World names and sim names stick to whatever translation was used when the save was created which sucks when you install new expansions if you've changed languages since then. Also unlike Sims 3 which lets you adjust the clock display to 24-hour time, in 4 it's tied entirely to the locale and it's so annoying.
Still better than Sims 2 which will rename even your own sims if you change the game's localization and indiscriminately mix male and female names for some reason

Just use the anadius updater to do everything, it's the easiest and 'safest option' (not that there is a big risk anyway, but still). I personally own quite some legally bought expansion packs, but I switched to just using anadius for everything and it's by far the most convenient option. Literally just get the anadius updater, tell it to install the game, select what expansions you want to have, and that's it. I personally do use a VPN whenever I connect online to the sims with the anadius, but it's probably just paranoia. There are plenty of anons who use it without a vpn and I'm pretty sure noone will ever get into trouble for piracy that way.

And yes, you have access to the gallery if you use anadius to do everything. It tricks the game into thinking you have an account connected.
