I assume you're trolling, but the 'middle man' you're cutting out here is the part that you're trying to improve at chess (the 2000 liblitz brain) so removing it from the optimization process might not be the best idea

This why I hate arguing with autists, the black and white thinking is so tiresome. When you fucking analyze a game, with a computer, you think of a line, and then use the computer to verify if you’re on the right track or if you’re missing something. You’re the one inputting the lines, but you’re not the one telling yourself if they’re good or not, because you can’t, because you fucking suck at chess. Analyzing without a computer is a monumental waste of time and likely even counterproductive to an extent since you have no clue if your analysis is objectively good. You literally can’t say I’m wrong, chess books written before computers are full of misinformed analysis, and those were written by players much stronger than you.

out of 3 1800 fide at my club that I know the lichess accounts of, one is somehow 2000lirapid and 1800liblitz(yes his fide rating is literally higher than his liblitz I have no idea how it can be especially because he plays a lot and he's in his 20s but it would be rude to ask), one has more or less my same ratings and one is 2200+ in both, it's weird especially because when I play them in otb blitz I don't notice much of a difference

One of the most annoying things in the world of midwits is the urge to be le “rational” and minimize everything because they think they’re too intelligent to be persuaded of anything. In reality you’re just a know-nothing imbecile and virtually an NPC, there’s always one of you making this obligatory reply. It’s just the difference in level. He started the game like a total noob, blundering multiple pawns (and not for any clever compensation) and not understanding anything (he thought he could cut off my Queen from my bishop by sacricing another pawn lol), then once my pawn structure got slightly compromised but I should still be able to beat someone as bad as him, he started playing as if he understood everything and rapidly built up an advantage to totally winning. Basically exactly the way an engine seizes on an any little weakness and gradually builds.
In a case like this it’s just about context. Against a strong player I’d be less suss but really weak players don’t suddenly turn into legends once they’re tilted and losing.

Also, you can just compare the moves to Stockfish. He took his eye off the ball at exactly one point with 26. Rf7 that led to a clever complication if I could have seen it, but it was deep. f4 wasn't an engine move though I wanted to say he might have started to cheat after the queen trade but f4 made me second guess it ,ofc cheaters can mix their own moves in not to get caught but in anon he wouldn't even need to plus he played it in less of a second normally one would think he would a least check that his own move isn't losing, in general he time usage isn't suspicious, you are probably right because the level of play did rise a lot as you said but it's not clear cut

Anonymous No.537562374
>>537560327
well objectively it does matter, and it doesnt hurt to start thinking that way, atleast. +/-1 isn't a huge margin, but if you mentally categorize the position as slightly better and learn good follow up lines, then in the future when you reach the same or a similar position, you will recall that you were slightly better and that such and such line presses the advantage. This will be more important during the opening phase and very early middlegame since those positions will likely repeat throughout your career. And even in middlegames and endgames you may not reach identical positions but you will start to see the same ideas and themes. Don't think of yourself as a low elo loser who will be stuck in low elo hell in perpetuity, start to consider yourself as a someone who is slowly becoming a strong player. So basically you can do the future strong player a favor now by using the computer analysis objectively, even though yes practically speaking at low elo the evaluation will swing all over the place for the entire game most likely and doesnt "matter".

It's broader than tariffs, and it also defies most of the drug market. Cocaine has gotten cheaper, significantly, over the past 8ish years. Where other drugs have stayed the same or increased slightly.

I'm guessing it's due to some geopolitical factor, enforcement in production countries, or perhaps some undiscovered method of global transport, or degradation of agencies hindering trafficking. Cocaine is still an expensive drug, but it's not as expensive as it was in the past.

i have always seen the ruy lopez as The Opening for an improooover. Sure, it has 90000000000000 of variations and theory, but who cares. It grows with you as a player, it improves with you as a player. You start with knowing a few moves and ideas, and each X ratings gained, you analyse a bit more, learn a few more moves, and suddenly see that the Ruy is tactical as fuck and you could lose a looooooot of games in the past, but missed the lines. Now you go up again, learn even more, and face your face berlin walls, marshalls. So you learn antimarshalls and best answers to the berlin. Ruy lopez develops you both tactically and positionally, and the better tactician you are, the more easy games you'll get.
I asked a few titled dudes about the main white opening for an improoover. Almost all of them said ruy lopez, one said queens gambit, one said two knights scotch or the italian.

Blitz and bullet have ruined me. I cannot win a single game of chess without my opponent falling for some shitty trick anymore. I'm certain it's been close to a year since the last time i played a game without a blunder. If i were ever looking at the analysis after my games i could probably confirm this, but i haven't done that in ages. Recently i decided to join a local rapid tourney to see if i could still play chess, and guess what, i lost to somebody who played fucking h6 against the italian game. Like a beginner. Before i looked, i had already played the unsound garbage that would've given me an easy win in 3+0. And now i have completely disgraced myself.

My god, what have i done.

Play correspondence chess instead of rapid.

You may think that you are giving yourself enough time by using 15-30 minute time control games, but if you are a beginner, you really should be spending multiple days on a single move.

Practice tactics on chesstempo. Make an account and do at least 100,000 easy problems

Do not study opening theory. Go over master games on chessgames.com and study players from the 1800s to learn soulful, attacking chess.

You can do this. We all believe in you.

Read Simple Chess once you feel a lot better about the fundamentals and your tactical skills.

Paul Keres got good by playing tons of correspondence chess. I think that my advice is sound.

At the very least, he should play the classical time control games that are 45-60 minutes. Rapid is still way too fast for beginners, you may as well have a beginner spam 5 minute blitz games thinking that they’ll improve that way. Won’t help develop their chess vision and understanding, regardless of post game analysis with an engine

Here is an excerpt from Keres’ Wikipedia page

“Keres was a three-time schoolboy champion of the country, in 1930, 1932, and 1933. His playing matured after playing correspondence chess extensively while in high school. He probably played about 500 correspondence games, and at one stage had 150 correspondence games going simultaneously. In 1935, he won the Internationaler Fernschachbund (IFSB) international correspondence chess championship.”

Maybe some anons will disagree with me, but I think the main way to progress your chess is to study. Playing is when you try to implement into play what you already learned while studying. And although you surely can learn and improve from analyzing your own games, the bulk of progress comes from studying at home.
I really don't think most people can get better at chess by just spamming games, unlike other (video) games.

try playing against maiachess.com 1100 bot. supposedly their bots are very human-like and you have unlimited time mode so you can practice spending 5-10 minutes per move. eventually you will stop playing without thinking and you'll develop a "procedure", a set of steps that you can go through to find a decent move in any position. most people recommend "checks -> captures -> threats" as a starting point. you improve at chess when your thinking process improves.

Correct. Thinking of chess as a game is actually a bit of a misnomer, it’s more of a science. Just like any scientific field, you need to study to have a clue what you’re talking about, or in this case, how to play. It’s not Candy Crush even if it’s in the same section on the app store.

I'm quite skeptical elo works well as a predictor for massive gaps like this butyeah if you want to be autistic about it on paper the chances of a draw should be roughly 1 in 2500 which I find unbelievably high.
To be desu if we ignore external factors like cheating or health issues(which ofc elo doesn't consider either just pointing it out because you are a pedantic FAGGOT) I'd say even 1 in millions is too generous and the probability of hikaru not winning is simply 0

I was looking at Bxc3. Bishop takes, Rxd4, exd4, then it's a double attack of a knight and the queen on his bishop, but he just goes back after moving my queen to c5, so that's dumb. I also didn't see any continuation after pawn takes the bishop after Bxc3.
Rook takes d4, I thought about some continuations with the knight takes bishop, or knight to f3 to use the e3 freeing after checking with the queen on g5, but no. So I thought, rook takes, exd4, e3, can I do something there? Didn't see the continuation.
c5 didn't work too, he just takes my rook.
I thought Nf3 straight away doesn't work, because I saw Qg5, Kf1, and thought, what then? But after some time I realized, I just take with the pawn exf3 and he can't really defend from the mate, next move Qg2 will be mate. He can't move anything to defend because e2 is blocked by the pawn, so it will be mate no matter what he does.
So the answer is Nf3, and if gxf3, Qg5, Kf1, exf3, and whatever he does, Qg2#.
If he doesn't take my knight, I can take the rook with the knight. The puzzle ended with me taking the rook with my knight.

I'm a 1200 ccom noob so I can't really play the game very well.

I actually switched from 3+0 to 2+1. A 3+2 game usually takes as long as a 5+0 game. The 2+1 lasts on average about as long as a 3+0 but flagging in clearly won positions is very hard for both parties.

I am actually cursed. Every time I decide I want to try to play the Sicilian, I get nothing but a long string of people aborting games, non-e4 games, white games, until an hour later I’ve forgotten that I wanted to play it. Then I remember and the cycle repeats. In between all this, as long as I’m not thinking oh yeah, I want to try the Sicilian, I’ll get plenty of black games against e4. I don’t know why the universe is doing this to me. It’s been going on for weeks.

This was a setup. The Asian guy was just a random guy she met that night like 1 hour before. They werent boyfriend and girlfriend, thats why he just left without fighting or causing a scene like a normal boyfriend or husband would.
She already knew the white guy prior and planned to meet there that day. Then they secretly recorded the video for their PUA passport bro website to scam money out of white chud passport bros by giving advice on how to pick up girls abroad. That's the backstory.

You need to do your own research about this incident. It caused national outrage there and was on the national news. The guys were interviewed and had to come clean about what really happened, it was just a stunt to promote their PUA website.
The slut however, her reputation was completely ruined in the country, her life destroyed. No guy wanted to date or marry her as she was now tainted (similar to how white guys don't want to be with white girls that have been with black guys).
She probably has to marry some old bald white sexpat boomer now.

We already have a situation in the USA where there are a shitload of white guys and a small amount of Asian girls that are under high and constant demand from yellowfeverfags, yet the vast majority of asian girls still only permit the small amount of godly Asian seed available in the sexual marketplace to fertilize the precious Asian egg. The majority of Asian girls reject white sperm and deformed hapas that result.

They are not desperate SEA farm girls who need money to feed their family so take one for the team and marry a white ATMcuck.

what those statistics dont show is that 100% of those gook whores that settled for an asian cuck husband have been railed and passed around by every white guy in sight prior to getting married. They didnt get married because, understandably, the majority of white men don't want their kids to look like ugly gooks
