Honestly I've been running Valkyr in Omnia Survival, you just need to hold E for 2 hours and Endo/Steel Essence just passively pours into your pocked. Just need a good hallway, and there is no way you would either die or run out of oxygen. Madurai is the best focus school without any competition. It is the only school that gives your operator an actual significant damage boost, while also giving your warframe more casting speed and strength.
Unairu helps keep you alive, but when you unlock its way-bound perk (the perk that you can use no matter what school you have active), you can revive your frame whenever you want to.

In the long run you want to unlock all of them. Zenurik is a good early game pick because it helps with energy.
Madurai has a "increase your damage a fuckton" power for bosses that need massive operator dps like void angels/eidolons. Unairu has an avoid-death feature for later when you're dying a lot.

A wise man once said "the best form of CC is death" therefore madurai is the best hands down because it's the only one that actually gives you damage both on your operator and on your warframe.
Beyond that, you want to 'unlock' all of them and get enough points to get all their waybound passives, which are just buffs to your operator mode. Those buffs are kind of mandatory while any other skills in the trees are useless... because you should be using the Madurai school

I would say Hildryn. I can't think of another frame where all four abilities synergize with each other and see solid usage in normal gameplay--at least, not to the level of Hildryn's kit. I genuinely can't think of how I'd improve her kit, even in the slightest.

I dunno, I think she does it well enough, especially when you consider how she's buffing herself significantly at the same time; you also need to factor in augments, as they're also parts of her kit (albeit optional ones). She has a far higher damage output than Styanax so it's fine for him to have a higher team shield output.
