got the particles to work on the stop motion controller I use for the rest of animations, moving stuff like doors, etc.

Its really a dumb set up and now I need to go into each of the particles systems and make changes to them because now the particles no longer play, but is set to a specific "time" in the particle lifetime, then a mesh is made, and then it freezes for X number of frame

So the things like emission or any of that are no longer used.

Ive got an art/visual direction in mind. The palettes more for the sake of the music and matching the notes/key.

IDR what the brain damage is called, but I have the brain damage that makes me see music and noises as shapes and colors.
So it's important to have the music before, because otherwise I make the colors match whatever the current background noise in my house is.

and this area for the game isn't even a crucial area. So Im not very worried that the style isnt perfect.

Progress, Made a whole bunch of my upgrades actually work, I worked on bombs yesterday so today i made some rockets as well as a bunch of other dps and survivability upgrades that were relatively easy to implement. I just grabbed a few of them (later you'll only get one per level). and then went into the level to test them out a bit.

What's neat about the rocket upgrades is that there's 3 of them, one that has high ammo, one that explodes on impact doing an aoe explosion and one that homes in on target, but if you stack the upgrades in any order you get the best traits of whichever rockets are equipped. the homing missiles automatically track the enemy with the most health on screen.

I have AI gens I made before there was a script of img2img.

AI art hasn't really evolved since the days google collab actually didn't use credits and you could use the gpus for a month for 9 usd.

It has been polished and the pictures are better, but the fundamental process is the same.

It took me less time and effort to just learn to make disney traditional, pixel art in HD and 3D animations by hand on blender and pixelover and Krita, than AI being usable for my needs.

You are 100% meant to be Lara Croft, why else would someone play Tomb Raider? those games are terrible. I would not even take a single glance at tomb raider if it had a male protagonist. The tank controls inspire a synergy between player and character, exploration and platforming feel very novel in the way combat doesn't, but these games are haunted by level designers that didn't even want to make a sequel in the first place and only got more burnt out over time, and ones that think they have what it takes to reinvent the wheel, which leads to alot of hit and miss.

If you merely want to look at a woman, I don't think Tomb Raider is the game for that. Modded Skyrim would be more favorable to people like that.

if you want a really difficult edge case, try Mirror's Edge. there are no choices and 99% of the time you don't have any indication of the character being a chick since it's first person... but it's first person. and there are sounds. and you can look down and see female legs and such. I never inserted as "Faith" when playing ME or MEC but I could honestly see a case for it, even if someone isn't troonbrained (yet). it does seem like the devs wanted you to identify as the character, to choose first person in a platformer of all genres. but then I think the people making the fantastic gameplay and the people making the slop story were entirely separate and one shouldn't treat the cobbled together result as if it came from a singular author's mind. we know it didn't.
