This update makes me think the next mission changes for the other factions will be underground ruins for Illuminate and oversized bunkers/forges for automatons. Which I hate. Reg and green strategems are fun. Not being able to use them isn't fun.

Its at 7.5% regen. Helldivers only get about 7% total liberation split across the entire map to work with. You'd need 100% player population to even bump the needle on the liberation. The MO is to get samples anyway.

I genuinely don't understand why people think like this. The new Warriors are like Hive Guards where only their fronts are medium armour, except even easier because while Hive Guards front plates are big and when they lock down you have a very small window to kill them from the front, those Warriors expose their unarmored bottoms all the fucking time, nevermind that when they dig to you more often than not you can just shoot their sides when they surface.
Also, there's still all the regular soft bugs to shoot at.
If there is any AP2 gun that can do it, it's Stalwart thanks to the raw DPS.

There are legitimately serious issues I am genuinely sick and tired of dealing with and have nothing inherently to do with balance

Enemy noises are not properly registering. The Dragonroach and Rupture variant enemies are functionally impossible to perceive consistently and both deal incredibly high amounts of alpha damage that is hard to survive. They both have extremely prominent bellows or make considerable noise under normal, isolated circumstances, but are completely drowned out by the game's insufficient audio support. I've also noticed that stratagems, vehicles, and even our basic equipment ceases aural function albeit more rarely.

You absolutely cannot run light pen. Everything short of a handful of scavs and hunters is medium armor+.
I've found that plasma in general is excellent thanks to its splash, a charged purifier will even kill burrowed enemies.
You need a ton of AT because there are 9000 chargers to make up for BTs being too small to fit inside the tunnels. Thermite won't cut it, charged AT won't cut it, because you need a snappy AT weapon. Since you're not really spamming EATs in a tunnel and Spears won't work either, that means RR once again reigns supreme.
The AMR is a surprisingly solid pick if you run your own supply pack. Because a good 75% of the bugs are hive guards or digger warriors, it goes from a light AT option to your primary chaff clear. Non-explosive means you're not worried about hitting teammates with the GL (but the GL is also very solid)
Someone on the team has to be running supply pack.

I really don't know what strats I'm supposed to be taking but I'm having fun even if my friends and I can't finish a d8.
Current loadout has been Scorcher, Talon, Gas nades and Engi armor. Liking all of them on digga bugs.
