That's why nobody realized that Kris "making a deal" with Tenna means he can communicate with Darkners from the Light world. He can hear them speak back, it's the only way to be sure Tenna accepts. We do not yet know what happens to humans that enter a dark world without a SOUL, but we do know that you can't close a Dark Fountain without one.

I'm sure I played + read Deltarune like a retard so anyone feel free to say that, but I got the idea that the Dark World doesn't "exist" and it's Kris somehow able to make everyone he's with think it exists? I'm thinking heavily of Ralsei's pre-board monologue in ch3, Ralsei telling Kris to go gather items(recruits) from the closet in ch2, Kris robbing the library computer lab for recruits, Noelle's unused overworld item flavor text (some of the items she describes in rather realistic ways, like Kris throwing things and calling it healing or trying to feed her inedible items). If I'm remembering right, in Snowgrave, Noelle's wording after the Berdly fight is also "I'm going to go home" which makes it sound like she's done playdating with Kris.

Related to the healing items, the way all the party members react to Kris eating the Pipis made me think he ate some kind of living animal. Noelle even wanted to keep it as a pet and then whines when Kris eats it, and she used to keep a hamster, so I just had the impression Kris was some kind of denpa psycho.

I really think Kris was closer to Dess than they were to Noelle or even Asriel, and that Dess was the one they were playing pretend with in the past(since Noelle doesn't recognize anyone from Cyber City).
It just makes a lot of sense since Asriel and Noelle are the "golden child" of their respective families while Kris and Dess are the weirdo outcasts.
I don't get why people immediately assume Kris was that close to Noelle when some of the dialogue implies they became friends by proximity, because Kris and Asriel befriended Dess first. Maybe Kris even disliked Noelle initially hence why they used to harass her but was fine with Dess tardwrangling them.
By the way Kress sucks and fundamentally misunderstands both characters.

My personal schizotheory (that I only believe about 50%) is that the inciting incident of the Dessappearance was Kris dragging Noelle into a Dark World either to "make her stronger" so Dess wouldn't spend so much time on her or to just make her disappear outright, maybe a little bit of both if Weird Route is anything to go by

I don’t think so. Noelle is surrounded by alot of broken down cars and considers it “nostalgic”.
I think Dess was hit by Toriel’s car, and Kris, Noelle, and Dess tried to enter the shelter and find a place for her to be secured and aid. Only to see a dark world instead. Both Noelle and Kris saw what happened. Asgore investigated it, knew it was too dangerous to be in there, and people looked at him as crazy, his wife especially, since she’s actually scared of the idea Asgore and Carol will find Dess’ body in there.

However, seeing how Undyne views the Shelter, she is lying about her “lack of knowledge” and Dess yeeted her for the corruption he inflicted and allowed Toriel to get away with.

Also I think you’re right and the Dess/Asriel dynamic is like the same as Noelle/Kris in that they clearly are more involved with each other than they let on. So Noelle has keepsakes from Kris that she doesn’t talk about and in the weird routes scene on the couch, Noelle comes on to Kris. Dess also has keepsakes from Asriel as well, whereas Kris and Asriel have none of the two sisters.

A few things make me really agree with you:

1. In the SWORD minigame, the white-robed figure and the Kris mimic are actually two deer, but they’re hidden behind a variable hiding their appearance called “Toriel”. I think this is supposed to be a parental lock type of thing she could enable in the bunker

2. The bunker password: one of them is the exact same password as the lock on the tv. If Dess used the codes that she figured out from Toriel, jokingly thinking “ill just try TV passwords”, and it worked, then her disappearance makes a lot more sense as to why Toriel seems so skittish about it.

3. This really ties back to undertale: in UT, she tries to stop you from leaving the safety of her home. She doesn’t want you getting the keys to the basement and seeing what waits there. I think this is the same thing in DT, where she will stop you once you’re inside the bunker. Toby has a lot of parallels between the two games

We don't know exactly what the eggs are for but might be nice to have all of them before Chapter 5 (where the last shadow crystal and egg will be.)
CH1 and CH2's eggs are kind of annoying to get because it amounts to random chance (going between two rooms constantly until you randomly go somewhere new.) but CH3 and CH4's eggs are much easier to get and don't rely on randomness.
