It's not even a "What if" scenario with a different outcome based on exchanged character traits, it's just a vain attempt to "correct" the original storyline while using the same template. Let's assume they still have the trinket and thus constant foresight. They would probably be able to evade Dexter for quite awhile using this. There would be quite a few close calls and I feel like Andrew and Ashley would try to ambush him like they did with the assassin to get him off their back. The question is whether Dexter would be able to find out about the trinket or not, and whether their efforts to overpower and ambush Dexter would work. If Dexter is able to learn about the power of the trinket somehow by investigating the soulnesses of Andy and Ashleys victims he would perhaps be able to stalk them for awhile to make certain they lacked souls to charge it with... striking then. Dexter is much stronger than Andrew and has years of experience as a cop, great martial arts skills and fighting experience/iq.

Overall, it could go very badly if Andrew and Ashley use their trinket to ruin his element of surprise, they might even have a chance to steal his soul, but if they are caught lacking, Dexter is getting Andy and leyley on his table for sure.
