I’ve only played WoW during vanilla, TBC, and Wrath, so I’ve never experienced any of the newer expansions. I’m curious whether The War Within is worth playing for someone like me.

I’ve heard that classes have changed a lot over the years—almost complete revamps in some cases. Is there a good YouTube video (or series) that summarizes class changes across expansions, so I can catch up and figure out which class to play?

Also, how fast is leveling nowadays? I assume it’s much quicker than in vanilla. Please help I'm from a 3rd world country so idk if it's worth spending money on this.

Retail feels pretty good to play, many classes are overhauled and you won’t recognize how to play any of them. You’re better off not using the boost they give you and leveling a character/class your interested in otherwise you’ll never know to properly play them even with video guides (you’ll learn but it will take twice as long as opposed to leveling up) 1-70 can be done in a few days. 70-80 can be done in the same time frame. You’ll be max level in half a week of game play. Just pick a class you want to play and watch a video about that spec. There’s so much YouTube slop on wow guides and all of them are usually a little bit wrong especially icy veins

It's going to be so different from when you last played, that it's worth trying out. Once you get used to the 'new' things, you'll prob dislike the game but we can't be sure. If you have nothing else to do and no other games to play, try it.

Leveling should be okay for you. It's prob a lot faster since you last played but you'll be way slower than us since we have warband exp. Timewalking is up so that's a fast way to breakup the quest grind since you'll have to do the story first.
