Ring is better than belt for this kind of cantrip because you have 2 of them (just means if a ring drops you can look at the stats and decide as opposed to a belt where i know its trash before checking). The issue here is they made 3 of these kinds of things occur at the same time (boot from soulhunters, cape from quest, belt from delve) along with trinket power creep(very likely your 2 best trinket are the 2 from the raid or at least 1 from the raid). I really think a version of wow with infinite catalyst charges+sparks w/ no cantrip effects (or at the very least make the belt like the cape and just stop belts dropping) and turbo boost trinket BLP is one at least some section of the community would really like.

I would like to see them give alot more forgiveness with gear (how the fuck do we still have no way to fix bricking your crafted wep with an agi wep as an int user)

You upgrade the slot once.
If you get a lower ilvl piece with better stats, you upgrade it for only valorstones, which are not capped.

People look at the upgrade system the wrong way.
It's there so you would progress even without getting an item drop.
That's why the caps are there, so you don't just max it out day one and all the upgrade levels would lose their meaning and then it would ACTUALLY make crests completely arbitrary time wasting mechanic.

I legitimately have logs equivalent to imfiredup before he got hit up by limit (im not as good as him obviously but logs are full meme anyway and I just got lucky). In EN I remember applying to a mythic guild and all i needed to do for my application was post my UI and prove i was completely keybound and they would give me a shot. I didnt even need to do a shitty gdoc, it was just direct messaging to the officer. Now every guild has 2 page log googledoc form application that we will respond in 2-3weeks and wont give you rejection letter oh and if you fill it out wrong (UI did NOT show raid combat it was just a UI in dornogol for example) its an instant rejection. Then if you finally get a trial you get subjected to incredibly long trial periods which can only be facilitated by the fact theres so much power OUTSIDE of raid to gather that you can remain relevant enough they dont even have to drip feed you gear (you would gear trials eventually if you were bringing them on bosses in the past)
