This tells me that the changes only matter because of MMR. Without MMR, killers would get consistent 4ks every match because of how stupid survivors are. It is only with MMR that suddenly the tides turn. It's so easy to counter basement bubba but retarded survivors fall into the trap each time. 2 survivors could have made it out too but it was too late when none of them had any skill.

Right, I accepted years ago that the majority of the killers are almost always gonna be at a natural disadvantage since its a 4v1 situation, but the one thing that kept me playing them was the fact that some of them (even the bad ones) were extremely unique and had their own identity and play style that you could master. Myers and old Freddy were bottom tier for fucking years but I loved playing them to death because of how unique their playstyles were to the other killers (old Freddy in particular, I miss him) but now that they're just starting to streamline all these killers to have similar powers there is no depth or originality anymore

Not gonna lie. Kinda want these changes to go through since it'll destroy the game. So, so much of the community (myself included) has an exceptionally toxic, codependent relationship with DBD. Something needs to happen to fix our lives.

I genuinely think BHVR is the one company that actually can't fix their game not because they're too arrogant or incompetent to fix it (though they are) but because they literally can't code in a solution. They simply don't have the ability and manpower to actually go through and fix up all these issues and making safe same-y Killers is just better then trying to make unique Killer powers given how much they break the game. Twins is literally just a second smaller faster Killer who can leap but they are STILL bugged to shit and still not fixed. Literally no other game would have a problem whose entire character is just "goes fast and jumps" except for DBD it's literally one of the easiest things to program.

The slugging shit isnt that bad honestly, they just gotta fix the speed by which that fucking bar fills up because its waaaay too free in a world where conviction and fog vials exist.
On the other hand, the hook state change is fucking terribly designed and should not even make it to live servers, not only is it terrible for killers but it's also terrible for survivors, as this now creates a situation where people will rather just let a nigga die out on his second hook because it's better to benefit out of the bonus of said person getting tuneled then go for the rescue, not to mention how abusable this shit is for SWF.
Really hope they fix this shit cuz i love everything else about this chapter so far and it really sucks if they just pushed a shitty update along with it.

What the average casual gamer does not understand about games nowadays is that not fucking everything needs to be "top tier" or "A tier" or "OP" to be enjoyable. Part of the fun of playing with things that are inherently worse in a game is that you can find completely new ways to make that thing viable, or maybe that thing is so unviable that it just forces the player to be extremely skilled at the bare ones fundamentals of the game to make it viable.

Myers WAS unique before because his power was basically just "m1 killer but stronger"

As in he leveled up throughout the match and just got a little bit of vault speed, stronger attacks/lunges, an instadown at max power, and a fluctuating terror radius that made him slightly stealthier when in t2 or t1 giving him a free hit or sometimes even a grab

His add-ons have also always remained among the most interesting and transformative in the entire game; being able to play him as a pure stealth Killer the whole game was unique, being able to kill someone by popping tier 3 was unique, his ability to see survivors through walls with vanity or scratched mirror isn't as powerful and cool anymore but it was really unique and useful for noobs before, etc.

I'd much prefer they lean into his identity of just "an unstoppable, slow, strong guy who kills you" more by just upgrading his Evil Within to grant bonus stun resist, flashlight resist, pallet/generator break speed, etc. He already had a stronger/faster lunge then most other killers when in t3 the new ability is just dashslop. After the buffs earlier this year and last year he was basically perfect, this rework is totally pointless and spits in the face of one of DBD's most unique Killers.

If anything I'd prefer if they made the slaughtering strike an instadown he charged up by stalking (instead of getting his normal tier 3) so it's like an OH SHIT ability you can bust out as a form of antiloop, at least then it would be like a chainsaw knife and bring back the old chainsaw myers meme in a new form. Making it a special attack that doesn't instadown is gay.

As a very basic example with og Freddy you could run two add ons, one of which made him impossible to see during that phasing in and out thing he did before he could m1 you, that would basically force the survivor you just pulled into the dream world off whatever gen they were doing because they obviously didn't want to risk getting hit/grabbed after you stopped phasing, in those 10 seconds of them running away you could disengage chase and immediately with the second add on see all of the other survivors not in dream state and pull all of them in 1 by 1, wasting all of their time too before actually starting to go for them now that they're all in dream state. Now was Freddy even that great with this playstyle? No, not even close, good survs could still rape him, but it was still fun to play around with and play him differently

How can I get better at the hatch minigame as killer? Any tips? Feels like whenever I get to hatch I just auto lose the game.

There is the chance the survivor will just find the hatch before I do so that's a loss right there. But even if I close the hatch, most maps the gates are so far away I end up losing too. No matter what I do I always lose unless the gates are just close enough I can patrol both.

Even assuming blast is on cooldown, when you're not on an indoor map, you can often get into a position where you have iether both switches' lights in your sight, or just need to move maybe 10m between positions to see. Once a light shines, you can go there and patrol harder.

Anyways, this is something you'll only get better with experience. Certain maps have certain spots where hatch has a very high chance of spawning in. Especially indoor maps. You will learn them over time. Still, the highest spawn chance is always outside of shack by the wall without the window. This is even without any offerings.
For gate 1v1s, you need to pay very close attention to crows. You'll learn where they sit over time, and most survivors aren't stupid enough to disturb crows in front of you. You will have to notice a spot where a crow is not there, and then investigate there.

The real devious play in a hatch standoff is to camp a gate as survivor, when hatch gets closed instantly open your gate to one light, then leave to the other gate. Open the other gate and enjoy your free escape.

I literally never return to the hook, ever. The one time I did I chased the unhooker, not the person who got hooked previously. I don't understand why anyone would. In EU in high MMR you need to tunnel to a certain degree, unless you play A/S tier killers.
Survivors are too optimal in chases, they rarely make mistakes and they know specific killer counterplay.
The thing is, survivors at that level are aware of that. They bodyblock for death hooks and prerun to pallet towns if they have been hooked twice. You expect tunneling at that level. Problem is the low level killers that tunnel for no reason but the fact that it's the easiest win con. Low level survivors don't know how to force 2 minute chases by predropping worthless pallets around completed gens, or using and reusing strong tiles.
There is a reason why all the changes this patch can be turned off in custom matches.

I see no issue with allowing killers to teleport about 30 meters away from where survivors tend to play, surely this could be adjusted towards the end game and 3 gen scenarios. i was playing the new mookel with PWYF (vs bots because they fucked up PTB saves so all my killers were at level 1 again) and it felt really nice in conjunction with that and Unforeseen. i could kick a gen to hide my TR, get a down with a stack or two of PWYF, hook that, swap to pursuer mode which is faster and just zoom across the map with no terror radius.

generally good addons are crate of gears+bag of gears, makes your traps better, there is also 2 blueprint addons, gives you more traps for more pressure to apply, good combo is workshop grease+last will, honestly i even find myself using medical file+combat straps, my top addon has to be amanda's letter with medical file, its very fun.
For perks? Well anything can work, i recommend whispers for a new player, when whisper triggers you can crouch and survivors wont know you are comming (your terror radius is smaller than whispers range). Overall she has a passive slowdown so you can play around with mostly anything, i can list few builds i like to play with tho

This new Thailand killer is f tier for mediocre/bad players. However in the hands of a good player ...I don't know. She does have potential but it's very easy to cockblock her. That's not even taking into consideration any nerfs bhvr might give her like xeno and Chucky. Ideally you want a complete infection at the start of the match, but you need to have the speed to capitalize on that. Her headform is supposed to be a solution to that but it's really easy to counter. Just get out of los and it's gg for the tranny killer. Her new perk ravenous is something meant for nurse not her.

So ....maybe bottom B tier if I had to pick her place in the hierarchy rn. That's including her best add-ons and perks.

She's good in a 1 on 1. A player that understands to scream, m1, then whip can run down survivors easily. In that regard, she's more like Singularity than Unknown.
The problem is that Singularity is better in 1 on 1s. The only thing she has over Hux is traversal, but the floating head is useless without infection, forcing Krasue to constantly, slowly, change forms.

like, her iri addon? or are you talking about leech 2? because you can't increase that meter at all past leech 1. it's like a variant of wesker's infection, where it's more like a penalty if survivors ignore it rather than something you specifically play around

if this is talking about her body form projectile, use the wall splash. it's pretty fuckin' hard to dodge
if this is talking about her head form attack... kinda? it is uncomfortably rigid and straight unlike a normal lunge but it's not that impossible to use. vaults and the tall third person perspective makes it feel pretty strong even if it's clunky

Because you got paired with bad survivors. You need both iri + lethal pursuer every game if you want to try that, and even then, survivors are gonna just spread out like rats if you do that.

Well yeah. Nurse with basekit bbq can just tp to every survivor and hit them once. It's hard to dodge an initial nurse attack. Ofc a bad nurse can't capitalize on this, but that can be said for every high mobile killer.
