Also, Gas Heavy is incredibly fun. Use Vitality Booster and you become IMMUNE to all gas damage. Getting surrounded? Drop gas mines on your feet and fight within the gas.

Is anyone else getting sound stuttering and frame drops inside the bug caves? It's weird, it clears up when I'm in an open area, but as soon as there's lots of gunfire with high RPM weapons it can come back. Is it because the game is trying to apply some reverb effect inside the caves and my PC just can't handle it? I've never had this particular issue before. Sound is super fucked. I'm already running the game in DX11.

So I know I'm rusty as fuck and just not respecting bugs at all, but what do I do to not die so fucking much when playing with randoms? I can't carry a loadout that can kill the burrowing Warriors and Bile Spewer and Stalker spam, while also being able to kill Chargers and Bile Titans underground, while also carrying a Portable Hellbomb to blow up the Spore Lung, while also being able to blow up underground Bile Titan holes.

It kind of feels like the old days when Charger Behemoths used to require two AT shots to kill unless you got lucky with the Spear or did the dive-forward leg trick. There just isn't enough ordnance to deal with all of the threats at once, and because you keep getting assfucked by the big shit you're unable to kill, the small shit starts accumulating and overwhelming you.

grab Xbow with bushwacker, and pack the siege ready. so long as you're on the ball you can kill everything with the xbow, and the bushwacker can be a nice emergency backup for close encounter (staggers up to stalkers so p gud for self defense in close quarters)
you still want some form of high demolition and AT though, so if you feel confident you can drop the bush for ulti if you feel like it. otherwise bring a backpackless AT; I've been having good success with epoque, but see people with quasar often as well.
one spore lung is done I use the warp pack, since it synergizes so nicely with everything and just lets me pass through massive crowds undeterred while smashing bugholes left and right if the need arises.

If you're carrying the Hellbomb, you're doing it wrong if you stop to fight. Just keep pushing through with liberal usage of stims, sprint, and gas grenades until you can drop the bomb at the lung and dying doesn't matter. Once you've got your backpack slot back, the Warp Pack allows you to outplay a lot of bug damage to handle tunnel fighting.

This is what I found, the guns feel so specialised that I can't cover all bases and found myself getting frustrated and not enjoying it.

HD2 is an excellent game but it increasingly feels like it's aiming at a hard-core crowd that I'm not really interested in. I'm usually our teams dedicated anti tank and it feels like all the options have been hit with stealth nerfs. The difficulty only ever ratchets up, more stuff is piled on and each weapon only seems to be good in specific situations. I prefer to have a bit more free choice, with certain weapons being better in certain situations rather than being forced into a specific build because of the weapons narrow focus on doing one thing.

With the Solo Silo being buffed to 50 Demolition Force, this is literally the best Warbond since Democratic Detonation. It's top 3, easy. The only bad thing in the entire bond is the Cluster Grenades.

The coycote actually slaps. It has none of the meme downside I expected. The worst I can say is that your stuck with shitty 1x zoom CQC sights until level 19.

Speargun is also pretty good. Can oneshot hulks to the eye and destroy stuff like mortar turrets in two hits.
It can destroy fabs to the vents, but weirdly enough it's the gas explosion that destroys them rather thant he spear. I guess AH just copied the gas grenade effect 1:1? Let hope this is intentional and won't get (((bugfixed)))
