Getting better at instruments makes it more fun because you can play things you couldn't before. You effectively gain access to more complex and interesting songs.
Getting better at a videogame doesn't make it more fun in most cases because the highest level of play in a videogame is way more restrictive.

This is mainly a problem with skill based matchmaking. If you get good at a game without skill based matchmaking, TF2 for example, you can dominate matches singlehandedly if you get good enough. Getting more kills, dying less and winning more matches is your reward for getting better at the mechanics of the game.
With skill based matchmaking competitive games you are always in a hamsterwheel of constantly optimizing the fun out of the game and in turn the game puts against harder opponents which in turn means you need to optimise your play even further to win and have fun. Unless you care about your number on a leaderboard or go play on smurf accounts you will never feel the reward of getting better.

The fix is to just stop playing ranked. Stop caring about rank. Just go play normals and play whatever you feel like playing.

I don't know why everyone is dooming about the Aurora changes. Even just glancing, it's not a huge change. In fact it's a pretty big buff for lower elo players because of the added scaling attached to her passive. She will be weaker early, but not by much. And around 214 ish AP she breaks even on the adjustment.

Her Lisandry build first item loses between 12-18 damage from the passive proc, depending on health. The Burst build loses much less, around 6-10. At her 2 item core she only loses 4-5 damage. And her burst 2 core build gains about 5-7 damage on average. At full build for her Bruiser, she gains 2% more for her passive. Actually, at 2.7% per 100 AP, it's 10.8 compared to the flat 8% she had previously. Full burst build is 18.9% compared to her 14%, tool tip showing a 3% increase.

As far as nerfs go, this is more like an adjustment. In low elo, she'll be much stronger with the game length. She'll deal less damage on her build path in the laning phase, but the laning phase isn't where her core build even matters. If they wanted to target her 2 item core, or 3 item core for Bruiser, they went about it in a weird way. A small decrease in damage, upwards of 5-7 damage, is nothing.

Here, I provided pictures too. Left Dummy has 2000 HP and 50 MR, about the average for a level 12-13 Ahri over the 4 games I looked at vs Aurora. Top is 3500 HP and 100 MR, generic tank. And right is 2000 HP no resists.

If you already generally know how to play fighting games you will be able to learn from playing against good players on the specific game, you will lose a lot but the games will be close enough that you'll be able to play and learn

I love this game, there’s a lot to like, it’s a great tool to train many good aspects of mentality, motivational profiles, keep yourself sharp with high cognitive load constantly and exercising that working memory but the matches are way too long.
For all its flaws in having simplified a few champions WildRift even in noob lobbies never have games going on the average over 20m, meanwhile on PC even as a tryhard noob you average 35-40m while leveling the account and I can only imagine that sub top 5% ranked is like 35m average either way.
I would like to get a tablet to play Wild Rift on a larger display but there’s no information in any database or review about their measured end-to-end latency and I’m not willing to gamble.

In most ranks mid and top are BY FAR the most popular roles, so if you put anything else you will get secondary role constantly
