I have a list of every /hdg/ player I've encountered and I even rank them accordingly to skill level and efficiency

I suspect the coyote will get nerfed but they will probably buff some weapons in exchange. If there smart only some light pen weapons

There is literally nothing wrong with light pen as a concept.
The game encourages build diversity with armor gating because otherwise you would just run BIS light pen weapons for everything.
Same reasoning with heavy armor and tank armor, some form of anti-tank is required to make players consider the team's loadout and think about what to bring.
That's all not to say that light pen weapons don't have a place, every faction, every mission, even on D10 have chaff enemies that can be killed with light pen. Their whole purpose is to have plenty of ammo so it can clear chaff quickly and effectively, nothing spectacular. You start making it so that more enemies can be taken down with light pen and all of a sudden medium pen weapons have no reason to exist.

Armoed enemies have arrived. Sniper enemies are next. Prepare your anus for the ranged gear check.

The point was to let the light pen primaries have the high ergo, low recoil, and deep ammo reserve, while medium pen ones would sacrifice a lot of that convenience for a small amount of additional power. And it worked, at least it did before reddit got all the enemy unit nerfs it wanted, plus player power buffs, plus two and a half dozen overpowered crutch premium items such as the Siege Ready armors. Running out of ammo is impossible now, even in the fucking caves it just doesn't happen. Light pen's advantages are gone. And so are medium pen's drawbacks. You're leaving power on the table for nothing other than "I'm better than you because I beat the game with a shittier gun" type bragging rights (prancing faggot notion btw).

In the last 100 missions I’ve seen it brought maybe twice and they were always low kills.
The spread is so horrendous it takes almost until overheat to kill 1 shield bot at medium distance, something the lib pen can do in 1 second.
On paper it should be good against bugs yet in practice feels absolutely terrible. Same for bots, and squids you’re better off using anything else

for the most part its fine on bots, but on bugs there's way too many enemies with medium and heavy armor at higher difficulties that almost entirely negates light pen, like the chargers which clearly were designed like most other heavy enemies in other games where they're immune to normal damage unless you hit their weakspot, but in helldivers their weakspot isn't actually weak so there's virtually no instances where you're able to take one out by shooting it with light pen

Fire EAT is LITERALLY 2 airburst with same medium pen properties but with heavy burning added (200 damage instead of 100). It's really fucking good, you can lock down a whole bug breach with a single call. Bring orbital napalm and you pretty much lock down every single bug breach.

Oh, it one shots Dragonroach too if some clusters hits it including with projectile damage.

Best used for reinforcement call ins.

I've mostly only used AP2, Amendment and Liberator being my favorites. There has been zero reason to use AP3 until Ruptured bugs, which are just too heavy on the medium armor and light is just entirely impractical. Every AP3 weapon comes with retarded downsides that make them unfun to play, such as no ammo, low firerate, slow reloads, slow projectiles, shit ergo, etc... except the Coyote. It feels like an AP2 gun but with AP3.

What's a good loadout for the goon caves?

I am disappointed that there aren't any sound replacer mods for the MA5C at all. I would have expected the various options from the games to be available, especially since the stock one is fairly mediocre if compared to the existing HD2 weapons. Makes it sound like its an intermediate cartridge if we use the others as a benchmark.

Anyway the 4th faction should be mutants. Assuming the cyborgs never come back, there's room in the roster for an outcast faction. Make them stim junky orc stand-ins fucked up by Super Earth medtech and now absolutely dependent on it. Vatcore drugged out brutes with a slightly more even mix of melee/ranged than the bots currently offer, with generally low armor levels. Again, orcs. If the Swedes have it in them to make them actually interesting, they should probably feature a lot of dismemberment gimmicks, since the other factions don't really lose abilities on dismemberment they just die or die slowly.

Everything has been just a band-aid fix that fucked up more things than it solved because the game revolves entirely around the host now.

That's WHY enemies were spawning on players heads. Patrols would spawn 100+m out from a player without checking to see if another player was already in that spot. Arrowhead planned the entire game around players sticking together and put zero mechanics in to actually MAKE players stick together. Nearly every fucked up glorpshit issue the game faces stems from this.

I'd say medicore right now. It used to be really good on bots for longest time, capable of killing everything up to and including Factory Striders, and still is to be fair. The issue is if you get the War Strider seed you'll feel like shit because they're spammed like Hulks, but unlike Hulks killing them is much more involved, since they have the single hardest weakspot to hit and you need two charged shots to do it while dealing with them ragdolling you easily.
Bugs it's fine but you don't have enough fucking ammo for all the bugs that get thrown at you.
Squids it has it's strengths like one-shooting Harvesters in the foot after their shield is down but for general use you will still get cucked by the ablative armor more often than not if you aren't perfect with your aim and again, not enough ammo.

ODST feels like simultaneously the best and worst option, it has the most meaningful additions to my armory, but I fucking despise how money grabby it is with the premium price and the lack of SC rebate. Meanwhile Force of Law and Dust Devils both seem pretty lame but have one or two things worthwhile about them, and they put me closer to whatever I'd get next.

I liked bringing the stim gun because my loadouts started being so optimized I genuinely didn't need the secondary for anything but ever since the patch I just take some normal secondary because pretty much every lobby is full of soloniggers that just run off to deathloop so I might as well have a gun to use when I'm carrying the objective book to the extraction.
