If there is nothing else you really want it's absolutely worth it for enemies which use elemental damage.
Killzone armor is better for it though, medium feels like heavy for resisting these types of damage.
Ironically the heavy Saaaardaukar armor feels less tanky because the Killzone armor gives you more mobility to avoid damage and then a higher resist so you just get hit less often in my experience

I think the killzone armor works really well with the control group helmets, better than the actual killzone helmet. I dunno I just can't look at it because it does not look like a stalhelm copy at all, it looks like the Starship Troopers helmet with the Helghast mask

Reposting, but so I found out the issue with the machete, and it makes me so mad. So with the Spear and Flag, you keep your shield up when you attack. With the others, you do move the shield when you swing but the attacks are fast and the animation for returning the shield to the front of you is timely-enough. But for this machete? Since the animation is twice as slow, the slowest of melee weapons, the return to the animation for the shield being in front of you leaves you wide open; you will get hit far more often using Ballistic Shield. You can cheese the animation by swinging and aiming to force it in front of you, but it's so tedious and visually jarring. I'm unsure if it has a longer range or if the penetration even actually matters, or if it even meaningfully does more damage. Sadly it's a huge whiff and only useful when you'd use a Shield Generator for quick in-and-out melee attacks. This is in theme to Dune and the warbond, but it feels unfun to use. Sasuga as always, Arrowhead. Maybe one day we'll get more decent melee gameplay.

It has some utility, but it's competing for that against far better stratagems. Pretty sure I saw a leak a year ago that showcased it destroying jammers. That was the intent behind it, nerfed before release.

I liked arc shotgun and the plasma scorcher. I am not big on the chargeup plasma nor the arc rifle (chargeup) because the sheer carpet of enemies makes it so charging is very sub optimal, at least on D10.

Supply pack is essential for the scorcher but frankly I find it useful just across the board due to a need to spam grenades.

What's interesting is that a Hive Lord blew up our oil rig and we killed it in revenge. Even though the mission failed, killing the Hive Lord played mission accomplished music and had the DO commend us on a mission well done.
After extract (With one secondary done) we got roughly 1800/2100 earnable xp. So it seems that killing the lord in lieu of mission completion still earns you the same xp completing the main objectives would.

I got decent enough mileage out of a lib penetrator with flash hider, vertical grip, and short mag for the ergo buff and fast tactical reloads. It's not a reprimand or coyote but it works as far the free warbond weapons go. But then again, I've also got like 1.5k hours in the game so I have general game sense over the newer players. Scorcher can work too, but I'm not a fan of it in comparison to the ballistic weapons.

Both the Swigger sound and the mod are doing it wrong.
Railgun sound mods have it correctly, by coincidence of not being able to do it incorrectly.
The way Railgun works is that there's a beep sound attached to the startup, meaning that the timing is 100% consistent and correct. This has the downside of it beeping after you shoot if you shoot it too fast, but it's worth it. Swiggers made the Epoch warning sound a separate one, which means it will very often get delayed if there's too much shit on the screen doing sounds and/or your CPU cannot handle the processing fast enough, which means if you get used to shooting after the beep you will blow yourself the fuck up because sometimes the sound will be delayed just enough that by the time it's beeping Epoch is already exploding.

The coyote is just alright, I think people are in a honeymoon period with it right now, and since automatics are usually pretty bad, that exacerbates things somewhat. Personally, I'm still feeling that nerfed status procs with this gun, you almost have to put as many bullets into the mob to kill it if you want to set it on fire, and if you time it wrong and move on to the next enemy, it often doesn't actually kill the bug with the full fire DOT.

Since it doesn't flinch anything besides hunters and smaller, I almost don't see why you would use this over the cookout on the cave maps. Cookout keeps the bugs pushed back and the spread is wide enough to coat multiple mobs at once, plus you never truly have downtime with it since you can reload between shots. I think the biggest issue is comparing this to the lib pen. If not for the drum mag, why would you ever take it over the coyote?

Anyways, cool gun but comparing this to the meta picks of eruptor, crossbow, cookout, blitzer, scorcher, or purifier, and I'm not sure where I would justify bringing it over them.
