Dude might have better chances trying his luck in HK desu, close enough to Japan, no language barrier and they actually welcome gaijins for a change

Still chugging along I guess? There's plans on testing mainland racing in Conghua, but I'm not sure how betting's gonna be handled (officially it's banned in China)

There are mainlander horse owners obvs, but horses are still imported mostly from Oceania/Ireland and a bunch of other places.
HKJC also picked up some JP horses from Select Sale and Yoshida has a owner's license here now, so maybe more JP horses will debut here down the line.

I don't think horses bred in China can actually run here anytime soon because of vet issues (Conghua had to be set up separately to remove quarantine issues, but its climate is not suitable for horse breeding in any case), so idk where the whole Mejiro Ardan dominating HK bloodlines idea came from.

Yeah the calibre of mediocrity has been showing as of late, especially with their recent overseas runs and the invaders (hors & short term jockeys) getting a solid streak. It's the lack of interaction honestly. Aside from the Japan Cup and JP horses running overseas, there's not many opportunities for JP jockeys to race against foreign horses/jockeys.

Too bad there's no chance for the JRA to create their own DWC/HKIR/BC sort of day, although it would have been a great way to get more foreign horses visiting.

Is this a lack of acceleration skills or a lack of guts? Most of them are nearly capped on Spd/Stm/Pow but they're all averaging around 1300 guts at their highest.
