Story is a bit worse than Hollow Fragment's imo, and the events focused way, way more on the girl's relationships with one another than with Kirito, which I wasn't really a fan of. The main bad guy was a bit underutilized too I feel, but it was an interesting dynamic with him taking the Black Swordsman name for himself and what he was doing compared to Kirito in Aincrad.
I would say this game's strengths over HF are its gameplay (much better), graphics, and dating system. Translation was irredeemable dogshit though, literally fanfic tier.
