The game feels good and going pew pew is nice but when even exotic missions are too hard for me now because expert is mandatory for catalysts I'm trying to find a reason to hold on.
I've played 3 months without the DLC and I have no urge to buy it because what does it get me besides a very okay campaign and a raid I'll never do because Bungie hates scrubs?

The only explanation I can think of for why Bungie will never bring back SIVA is because it belongs to a studio that helped them when they were part of Activision. The same reason why they sunset Forsaken's seasons.

I have to imagine there are many people playing Rising that don't play Destiny 2, and are actually third-worlders on phones. They do have that notice on some modes that you'll be matched with bots if matchmaking takes more than 3 minutes, so I guess you could use their fireteam finder if you're still worried about it. Imagine rolling for characters as you currently do, but instead of equipping the character themselves, you equip their "Core" on your customized Wolf.
A Core functions identically to how characters currently do, with a set of skills, element, two types of equippable weapons, etc. All now tied to Wolf.

Aesthetically, unlocking a character in the gacha, on top of their Core, you also unlock their armor, face customizations, and voice lines which can all be mixed and matched while customizing Wolf.

Would make the player experience much more individualized and in line with the Destiny 2 customization features
