I discussed this last thread but I did those things. The pizza part was mostly a joke since that one is easy to add in, but the better models got it so I skipped adding it because, ay, fuck it we lazymakie.

The dialect, I tried adding instructions to see how it would go since I dealt with this problem while helping KK with Eudora many moons ago, but it still has the same problem. It doesn't know how, when, or where to use the instructed dialectical flourishes. There is no instructing that will make it believable and even with the added instructions, it continued to degrade into generic Southern waitress.

The problem is that phonetically there's overlap and English doesn't provide a particularly clean way to elongate vowel sounds other than goofy vowel repetition. Life's hard. Even without the poisoning, you could tell it to write her with a PD English accent and you wouldn't get anything close to correct since there's basically 0 written examples of it. I tried a few different ways and the one I put out is the most stripped back which was the least terrible for outputs, but the tradeoff was it just goes Southern.

I could have forced more relevant examples of the accent into the intros, but since it didn't work with examples and explicit instructions in the defs I didn't assume it would do much being in the first message versus defs/prefill/example chats. If you have success, please do let me know how though.

What do you guys set context length to? I always hear it degrades significantly at higher context but I only really noticed it at smaller models.
