I will be honest here, if this canto somehow gets delayed they just need to close up shop.
Let's establish a few things here
Both season 5 and 6 are set to take the exact amount of days, s5 was 217 days and s6 will be 217 if it comes out in mid december as said. So, there is nothing quite strange about the length of the season.
So, what are the differences between the 2 seasons?
>s5 will have 1 more Walpurgis than s4 but it's coming with no story or battle stages so this literally isn't anything different than the usual banners except for the fact that the ids get some more effort put into them
>s5 won't have a second intervallo, instead it will have a collab of dubious quality with nothing but EGOs so even less effort than doing an intervallo
>s5 won't have a new RR, which they often complained about them taking too much of their time
So yeah, if it does get delayed you know what to blame and the collab somehow ruined their entire schedule. Because this season has way less shit in it compared to the last even though both are taking the same amount of time.

the problem with that is it leaves almost all the buildup for the intervallo before their cantos and a lot of development during it. obviously character arcs are going to happen but the story flows better when you have more than a passing understanding. hong lu and sancho really suffered from this because they had to shove a LOT of exposition in a relatively short time.
