This is entirely because Konami actually has no fucking idea what they are meant to be doing, across all versions of the game.
OCG is printing abysmal dogshit and actively making their products worse for no reason. They aren't sprucing the game up and are just letting it slowly fester with what they currently have until the end of time.
TCG is doing what they do best and just fucking up the TCG side of things. Expensive as shit cards, impossible to learn rules, a supreme lack of communication on basically all fronts.
Both are suffering from the OCG's general design philosophy of just throwing a billion effects onto everything and having "interaction" (read: stunning the opponent out of their plays and killing them asap) be the forefront of the game and so hyperaccelerated that you cannot actually grind. Even today's modern grind decks are just decks that either struggle to OTK as a design choice, or kill on turn 5-6

Brothers and sisters please I beg of you recommend me a good set of inner sleeves...
I bought 3 packs of katanas, 3 packs of game genic, several packs of dragonshields and so far things are looking grim as fuck.

All of them have factory pressure marks.
Dragonshields are clean, but their size is too different, some are loose some are fine.
I tried KMC too, but those also had the pressure marks...
So far ultrapro pro fit ones are the only clear ones, but they are tighter than my asshole and will damage cards as you slide them in.

Should I just give ultrapro another shot and pre-loosen with commons?

>we will be using a very basic leaderboard system, as Challonge doesn't really support something like this too well

No problem, I did a lot of research about double sleeves because I was getting worried about my expensive cards. Exactly, Dragon Shield outers are long and with time they get loose. Broccoli is high regarded but I got disappointed, they don't feel too durable. The shuffle is unmatched though.

Pic related is Yanoman Z Jr. You can buy on Amazon and eBay, they're pretty cheap. It's clear, both front and back. I cannot stress enough how secure they feel. I have an entire QCR deck so trust me. They're so thick that you can't bend it easily like every other sleeve. You can slap it on the board and it feels nice. It might feel hard to shuffle in the beginning, but they get smoother once you get used and handle it well your shuffles.

I was just expecting mimighoul support, but it's seems like decent flip support in general. Even works in enneacraft since this can be their normal summon.

Now with the wake cup cards, old flip decks have ways to circumvent the slowness of flipping...but it Just reminds me of gemini support because it circumvents the shittiness of a mechanic but the effects aren't worth it becsuse they still suck

You know I ask myself this same question everyday, trying to make sense of it.
The only conclusion I came up with was the Konami never expected Dracotail to be this well received. They probably thought Yummy would be that designated "fun" deck because its cute and all.
But playstyle wise Dracotail has them all beat in terms of fun. So if Konami were any smart about it they'd kill all the decks that are in the way of Dracotail becoming the best deck, at least for a format.

Just came back from my first locals with the new time rules, 5 rounds in total

Honestly the locals experience seems to have changed for the better. I do think that people who know when to scoop definitely have even more of an advantage going forward.

Something I love and hate about this game is how much flavor it has. Thanks to all the theming, certain things just feel RIGHT, and it's all the more disappointing when they don't happen because the people who run this game are uncaring morons. A random list of things off the top of my head from decks I play:

>Curse of Aramatir respawns your token to represent save scumming but the token spawns in AFTER the equips went to the GY so the equips' floating effects don't trigger. So you reset the game but lost your inventory?!
>Runick Destruction and Freezing Curses show both Hugin and Munin summoned at the same time. If you could do this, or at least build up to it, you could build a field presence and justify summoning the other monsters beyond synchro plays. But they all have to be in the EMZ because...?
>Yugi.dek should be ritual focused. It's the only summoning method without an anime protagonist dedicated to it, it fits perfectly with the OG series' occult theming, and he has two ritual bosses already! Fucking Rush Duel does it! Why doesn't the mainline game?!

Durrr it can't search Rite AND you need to normal summon it, so even if you use it to search Fateful and then search Enchantress to search Rite (which means you can't search for Gryphon Rider, meaning the decks slapping in the Adventurer engine at the time wouldn't care), you CAN'T ACTIVATE RITE. Because you USED A NORMAL SUMMON'S EFFECT.
