So if I want to do dungeons (and maybe later do fractals/raids) how should I even go about finding people? I did 2 runs of Citadel of Flame a couple years ago since I really wanted the armor by just running around the entrance waiting for somebody to show up and asking if they wanted to join me, some people in the last thread said you could solo some dungeons but I'd rather at least try to do them with other people and eventually I'm going to need other people for real group content. I haven't even joined a guild as of now, so I'd assume that's probably the first step.

Rev needs an elite spec more than probably any other class. Its Power weapons are all weak as fuck at a baseline and rely on gigantic damage modifers and spec-mechanic attacks from elite specs to do any damage. Its Condi weapons aren't quite as shit, but only one Core legend is even playable on a Condi build (Shiro/Jalis at least makes a little bit of sense for Power.) Either way you're probably just doing so little that enemies are outlasting you.

There's some classes where playing Core to level up is kind of charming, but Rev isn't one of them IMO.

i leveled 3 revs from scratch and never once did i have problems with dying constantly. are you updating your gear? is it problems with not killing things fast enough, or doing big dick damage but just glass armor? try soldier's stats as you find them, and gradually make your way to power. shit dies fast if you have marauder/zerker stats. even having celestial is okay. herald is fun at 80. it can get boring if you let it, but it shits boons and makes you faster and hit harder. look into hammer, too. drop hammer/phase smash/coalescence is powerful.

Revenant was introduced with HoT, together with elite specs, so it was designed to always be played with one.
That's also why it's got so few weapons:

>hammer for long range strike damage
>staff for support/cc
>mace/axe for condition damage
And at launch you didn't even have weapon swap, just legend swap. Luckily, that was fixed pretty quickly.
Anyway, in the core maps you don't need condition damage. Just camp Shiro/Jalis with sword/sword and hammer.
Shiro gives you evasion and attack speed with Impossible Odds, plus cc with the elite; Jalis has some great tools for granting stabilityand sustain (rotating hammers).
If you have it unlocked, greatsword is a better pick than sword/sword for strike damage.

Yeah there used to be a trait where the pistol hits would bleed, so a condi mesmer would just keep 3 pistol phantasms up and they'd do like 15k dps with bleeds (which was good at the time) even if the mesmer was running around and doing fuck all. I suggest looking into getting a commander tag after your griffon before you go for legendaries. Open world players flock to commander tags like moths to flames, if you ever need help getting a less-popular meta-event done etc, tagging up is like a magic spell.
And if you're concerned with things being better or worse to have go for legendary items that are usable on the most builds you're interested in possibly playing (ie legendary weapons are often not an "efficient" choice unless you use a certain weapon type on a bunch of different builds, while trinkets are used by every single one of your builds).

Also if you do PvP/WvW you can complete each region's reward track and get the final reward so you can skip the meta achievement.

If you didn't know, in the achievement window under the daily tab, there's a section for LW4. The dailies focus on one map per day, and that map is usually more active with people doing achievements, vision stuff, etc. Just knock out a couple things on the daily map each day that you play. It's meant to take a few months to make, just the poopsock wiki culture of online games makes everyone think it's something to knock out in a couple weeks.
If you like/tolerate WvW I agree with anon, do the tracks for Istan/Sandswept/Kourna/Thunderhead/Dragonfall instead of the related achievements. "A Star To Guide Us" will be a pain in the ass, be sure to make extensive use of Blish HUD Pathing module. There's a bunch of "hidden" achievements under A Star To Guide Us that you don't need to be done in story instances, if you get to this one and get overwhelmed or can't tell which ones would be easy just holler and I'll log in to screenshot which ones I did which I found fairly easy and painless.

People think they can get by with mimicking the other players. I run training groups for OLC every now and again and it's amazing watching people fail the in-out mechanic over and over. I must be super autistic because I'm always befuddled when people say OLC is a hard strike. It's literally just a mechanics check. There's no dps rush, no adds, no debuffs, no incoming cc. There's nothing to distract anyone from what's going on right in front of them and yet they still regularly fail the in-out ring. My only guess is they're too focused on their skill bar to look up at what's happening.
With that said, over the top requirements are always from bad groups looking for a carry. I've never joined a 50kp+ group for anything where I didn't feel like a big fish in a small pond. I'd rather join 0kp groups because even with stuff going wrong you can usually carry groups to victory if you know the fights.

I think you're confusing the chest from the weekly rift hunting achievements for the normal rift rewards. The first 5 rifts in any zone each week give a chest with (a lot) of bonus rift essences of each type.

You really don't ever need to do t2 or t3 rifts. Usually t1 rifts do only give t1 essence, but there's the weekly rift hunting achievement that gives those extra containers of essence with all three tiers a few times per map each week.. 3 SotO maps, 4 JW maps, and 3 older maps. Then there's weekly achievements for up to 3 convergences in both SotO and JW. You might be able to find a group doing the weekly rift hunting around weekly reset, was really common during SotO but I haven't needed it since. Someone would do like 3 t1's, a t2 and a t3 in every map with rifts.

Thief has the lowest HP pool out of the classes alongside Guardian and Elementalist, while Warrior has the highest alongside Necromancer.

Thief is also a medium armor class while Warrior is a heavy armor class.
