but steel path ramps up enemy damage and armor enough where having a decent build starts to matter.
in nonsteel path you start with weak weapons and the struggle staying alive, then your damage output ramps up enough that defensive mods stop mattering. Now you are in a place where your build matters since there are more enemies and they are harder to hurt and hit you harder.

there are a lot more things to play are with now. the Incarnons you can buy from the Holdfast and Arbitration Arcanes. You should have collected and ranked up all the Galvanized stuff before entering steelpath. You can start building up synergies between weapons with those arcanes. And you should have at least a few focus schools done. Naramon wouldnt hurt to keep combos active, and melee kills to buff primary weapon damage.

but stealth also works for most missions. Octavia effectively breaks steelpath. place the mallet in front of something you want protected, and it reflects the damage back.

They should give splinterstorm an augment so that the damage you build up lets it dissolve like combo when you run naramon going down by 125k or something like that while making it easier to build up. Would be busted but given how small the range is on it, I feel it would work well
