Except it's really not. Not in practice or in terms of data. Solo tanking as Mag or Strange is you being a glutton for punishment, wanting zero agency and being at the whims of your team.
Cap is the Vanguard with by far the highest winrate for this simple reason (apart from Peni, but she does it differently).

The way you win is by being good (obviously) and picking heroes which have high degree of agency and impact to dictate the flow.
If the enemy is steadily pushing the objective and it's mostly a stalemate in terms of fights, with your team incapable of breaking through, you sitting on Mag shooting at their Vanguard getting healed won't change a thing. A Cap pressuring the enemy backline or potentially even killing people in the backline has way higher impact because it breaks down the enemy healing line and splits the enemy team focus between your team and the Cap. This opens up a chance for your team to kill the front and potential midline, or at least pushing them back.

Only reason to play Mag or Strange is if you want to be a loss collector or you stack with a competent team.

If you nerf healing, you need to nerf damage too. Otherwise people would melt and the damage is because people are "dependant" on it.
Even if you gave all players passive health regen outside of combat, that still wouldn't stop you from getting melted by damage.
You don't understand how interconnected it all is. You can't just reduce healing numbers or do one change. You would need to change all heroes, systems and even parts of how the maps and modes work. You have a kneejerk reaction to

Healbot design is always, without fail, bad design. Rocket is a worse designed healer than Ultron, Adam, Mantis.
The best designed healers in games always involve them needing to balance healing with being offensive.

No, it's not. Adam works well if there is a sustain healer.
Mantis works well if there is a burst healer.
The way they heal is also different. Adam is one of the best anti burst damage healers in the game, especially for more spread out groups. He can instantly heal over 300 hp with a single button press over a wide area, which would otherwise take C/D close to 6 seconds to heal (and for reference, C&D is a sustain, not burst healer).

All you're saying is that you're a vanguard player that wants to get pocketed by 2 healers or a Luna/Invis 24/7. Which says more about you than you realize.

It's because as I just said even disrupting the enemy backline for a bit can have big impact on fight outcomes. Way more so than just shooting at the enemy frontline getting healed. You want agency and the ability for match impact. Mag and Strange doesn't do this well at all.

Her double burst consists of 4 projectiles, so 8 total at 12 dmg. That's 96 from a bodyshot. Even if you bodyshot her dmg/s is 160 averaged out. She fires 8 bursts in 1,2s which is 192 bodyshot dmg. Before in 1,2s and bodyshotting she does 292 dmg, now it does 272.
So even if your argument is "now she can't two tap and shuriken to kill 275hp targets instantly!" all you're admitting to is that you don't headshot.

Literally just play flyers or anyone who gets in her face. Venom, Spiderman, BP, kung pao, scarlet bitch, etc. She has an awkward near close range where she struggles take people down faster that she dies. Even if you don't kill her, you can zone her by forcing her to retreat. Uncontested Thors and Hulks just running into the backline can be a pain too. If you get really close, hitting you gets a bit easier again. Be aware if you chase her into small spaces, her misses will more easily bounce of the walls and hit you anyway. Also with flyers, there's a sort of diminishing returns in my experience where they almost become easier to hit when there's 3+ of them because the air gets so crowded and if she has an Iron Man on her team, she gets the homing attack to finnish them off.

Incredibly mobility, team wipe tier ult, and probably the best hitscan primary fire in the game because it has spread. The spread makes it far more forgiving when you are tracking the target unlike say the punisher where it is entirely possible to miss most if not all shots with all the bullshit hitboxes and movement in the game. He also has invulnerability dodge but using that for more than fast reloads is beyond me. On top of all that stuff you've got the 'e' to finish off low health targets without aiming at all.
