Not even gonna mention the huge roster of different monsters and playstyle variety for each weapon but what I really love is how complex the progression can be, how even at the end game you can hunt lower level monsters you actually enjoy for anomaly parts, making every viable to hunt even in the post-release dlc end game, and how there’s some incredibly challenging hunts even before the final hazard monsters available, rendering all of your progression satisfying

Most anons played rise on PC I guess and missed the original drip feed of the cut content with only cheap event quests afterwards till sunbreak. The Okami one was nice but that's it. For me the HR cap is the real fuck up cause no matter how much you played into the cap the game wouldn't accumulate your HR in the background even on PC. If you went from star to start you'd have to do extra work then to reach HR 30, 40, 50 and 100 for the Elder Dragons.
