Hey, does anyone have any idea why the Ashly and Spooky mod suddenly stopped working for me? It was working perfectly yesterday, but now Ashley and Spooky aren't showing up, and even the maps that lead to the mansion are gone. I would think that the mod isn't activating for some reason, but when I use the mod to search for things within the game, it shows me that Spooky's doll is there.

Before anything else, make sure you don't have two different versions of StaedewCGEvents, since SMAPI disables duplicate mods AND all the mods requiring them. Both A&S and C-team come with their own, in which case you should keep the newer one in C-team or else it'll error out badly.

Inside the mod folder there's a subfolder where it caches modded maps so your game doesn't have to load them again. Increasing the limit in the config allows the mod to store bigger maps (the biggest I've seen so far is SVE's Forbidden Maze at 3.5mb), which obviously requires more memory. So you just adjust that accordingly.

I feel like I have trouble playing through this game. I've done everything, and even if I want to replay and try doing different things, or re-experiencing certain things, I find that I get impatient with starting all over again. Like there's nothing interesting about it anymore to make me want to go through the phases of having to build up my resources all over again. I remember this. I burned out too, when the game was relatively new. I just played for ages until I had done everything, and then it got kinda boring. If you do a new run, your ability to chase certain types of goals can feel constrained by having to literally start from scratch. The problem there being that you might want to be doing something else in the game OTHER than what you need to do to have the funds to do those things.

As an example of this, there was a time when I decided "I want to make my farm an orchard as my main source of income." But saplings are expensive, and they take time to grow. By the time I had my orchard, it felt hollow because my farm was already so strong that I didn't need the fruit trees anymore. My economic goals had been met in the process of building the orchard, so I didn't need the orchard as a way to play the game. It felt like I had basically cheated myself out of what I had wanted to do.

If you only have access to the mines, you might as well farm the early levels since it's a good way to stock up on other materials besides copper. Bug meat, earth crystals, and chances for artifact drops.

If it's later game I'd just hit the skull caverns, you find a lot of everything there and the random drops are way better.

As I said, early game I would stick to the mines for copper. They're easier to get to and less expensive. And the lower levels are great for crossing off some monster hunter goals for the guild too. Green slimes are easier to kill than other varieties.

The Jas mod one has a longer list of portraits than normal so if it tries to load the portrait mods image it won't have anything on those pixel coordinates so it'll appear blank. With Stardrop, is there a way to install a sprite replacer that's just a sprite replacer without overwriting any existing files? Trying to install via Stardrop gives me an error that there's no manifest.json. It's just a folder with sprites, and I'd rather not overwrite/replace the existing ones in case I decide I don't like them. Stardrop doesn't give me the option of installing a blank mod like MO2 does to overwrite files via VFS.

Just started my cringe NPC-centric playthrough with Sunberry, Visit Mount Vapius and a few others because I like to torture myself. Already running into retarded balancing on day 1 with Alchemistry adding 25 energy mushrooms everywhere (also there's an ugly as fuck deer woman I was NOT prepared for) and the lolsorandom Sunberry raccoon giving me a free spoon.

There are special rocks in the mines that drop multiple ores (I think 1-3 ore is standard, but mining skill perks can increase the ore yield) and you will easily notice them because they look like rocks with colored dots on them: orange for copper, grey for iron, and yellow for gold. There's also ore nodes for iridium but those are extremely rare in the mines, you won't encounter them in any real number until you reach later game content like the skull cavern or the volcano dungeon.

Finding ore veins in the mines is mainly a matter of random chance, so it's affected by daily luck. Check your daily fortune on the TV every morning to see what your luck modifier is (if the spirits are happy or very pleased it's a good day to go spelunking). But early game you will probably just want to go any time it's raining (so check the weather, too, so you know if it will rain tomorrow), because you won't have sprinklers so you have to use every rainy day you get to dive the mines.

It's important to push deep into the mines when you're starting out because your "progress" is saved every 5 levels with the elevator, allowing you to start from a deeper position each time you head down. Pushing deeper means looking for ladders that lead down, which means bringing bombs to blow up clusters of rocks to find them faster. Daily lucky also helps with finding ladders faster, by the way.

Lastly, the kind of ore you find changes the deeper you go down. For the first 30 floors you'll only find copper veins, then starting on floor 41 you'll mainly find iron, though occasionally a copper node will appear. Once you hit level 81, you start finding gold. Iron and copper nodes will occasionally spawn, but gold is what is most abundant in the last 40 levels of the mines. Level 120 is the bottom.

Generally you don't waste time breaking every rock on a floor, you quickly grab the obvious resources, then try to find a ladder to the next floor. Bombs are your friends and help with quickly finding ladders.

The 12 and 14 events have lewd scenes, and there's one post-marriage lewd event. You can add it to an existing save, although I can't remember if I added a safeguard to let Morgan go out & visit festivals if you've already watched the Wizard's intro, please let me know if she doesn't do either. The yellow error thing mentioned in the post is just for people updating from the previous version on an existing save.
