Your general gameplan in neutral seemed solid. Not much stood out as being particularly wrong. A lot of 66M which is good and you cleared the traps safely with 2Ls. Great timing with your 66Hs and ult fireballs in the midrange.
You were spotdodging rock which is good but you should also try to dodge M spear in neutral since it leaves Cag more minus. You can do it on reaction but it's pretty difficult.
You can also introduce charge fireball if the Cag becomes too comfortable charging/zoning with rock.
You should try to hitconfirm your normals like 66L and f.H. CH M normal confirms would be very nice as well. You also autopiloted into M rekka pressure which ended your turn. Try varying your pressure sequences.
The biggest thing that stood out to me is that you weren't capitalizing on some of your opponents' habits. For example, did a lot of empty jumps in neutral but the Cag never anti aired, so you should be more comfortable throwing out an air normal.
Most importantly you did a lot of backdash shimmies but the Cag was content with just holding block and never teched throw (and would ocassionally mash f.H > 236H or 2U on defense. Tighter pressure could force him off this). This is a problem I see with a lot of newer players- their layer 1 is to go for frame traps/throw baits without actually conditioning the opponent with throws.
It's good to have a flowchart for offense- frame trap until they respect it, then throw and then finally frame trap/throw bait. Keep it simple
TLDR; practice dodging M spike in neutral, vary your pressure and observe the opponents habits more (especially on offense).
Don't try to fix more than 1-2 issues at a time. I would recommend focusing more on observing your opponents for now and polishing your strike/throw game more.

At midrange cag is -2. At further ranges obviously she’s more + of the recovery.
I said dodging rock is good because if you dodge or neutral jump it she can’t throw out another rock again for awhile (similar to other fireballs). That means she’s can’t control horizontal space as easily outside of her normals range.
Fairly certain you can do it on reaction or a read. In fact, if spaced out, many characters can react to Cag 6U with an ult fireball and punish her.

Getting clipped by 623H should be spacing dependent. If rock is spaced near full screen then 623H can catch spotdodge. Shouldn’t be possible closer to midrange

I do think he rolled too hard with free blade levels on whiff, but man does he feel not too hot without it. The whole match you're fighting for cooldowns and it doesn't feel like you get a real reward until the game is over.

This was the 1.5 buff, it rocketed him from solid mid tier to actual top 5, maybe 3.
Unfortunately power level keeps going up and luci is mr mids so he keeps going down. He's not BAD, he just has nothing that merits playing him over any other shoto.
Worse damage, longer cooldowns. He has midscreen extensions but only twice or thrice a match at most without meter, unlike other characters.

It kinda ruined his gimmick honestly because it meant you just used the skills as soon as they came up and it didn't matter how well or how poorly you used them, you'd still hit level 5 in no time. With the nerf it's a legitimate point of contention whether you'll be able to actually hit with enough skills to get to BL5, doesn't happen every round.

The point of having a gimmick like that is making the player figure out how to land the skills to build the resource to activate rape mode, there's not really a point to it if rape mode is guaranteed every time. You see Lucis actually using the stance a fair bit now trying to build BL which you used to never do, that's good.

These are the primals 'true' forms, because one of the stories they added for Vira made both original Luminiera/Chevalier and Aries (Katalinas primal) their ancestors.

I mean, if there was an occasion to try it was now, since it was fresh in my mind and there was a 2B player.
But there are factors to consider:
I haven't been able to play a lot as of late and it got to the point I forgot how to even play my own character
The latency wasn't great, it made me do weird shit by dropping random specials
I was tunnel visioning so much on them that I did some pretty stupid shit that costed me a lot, like trying to roll the first 5H in the chain.

I still think it's better to just deal with her corner pressure by just jumping forward but I'm not gonna lie to you I'm biased because I'm fucking sick and tired of seeing her in nearly every fucking games I play
