He talked last week how players are getting tired of the usual MSQ Formula and how that is affecting enjoyment, so maybe he means that.

And I agree, it gets old to go "well I am level x1, dungeon coming soon, oh now im level x3, here comes the next dungeon and a trial after, etc, etc".

The most logical thing for them to do is have less dungeons and even trials from the MSQ, still have them around as optional ones, but have the MSQ be a surprise in terms of story. They could have them as blue quests in new areas we show up and they could also make it so if you did all the optional dungeons before the ending of the MSQ, you get a special scene/instance perhaps. That way story enjoyers get rewarded and people who just want to finish the MSQ to unlock raids and stuff are free to do so.

I don't know why they made every dungeon mandatory. They used to have a lot more optional dungeons in ARR/HW/SB but we also now have 1 dungeon main patches instead of 2 so that's also a factor.
Regardless having content locked behind the newest MSQ makes most people feel rushed to go through the MSQ to go do the trials and shit with their friends on launch day.

I know this is a late response, gomen. I've been struggling with keeping motivated, myself, and I think that's just normal. We have our ups and downs and we get caught in ruts, sometimes. I know it's probably the opposite advice everyone gives about art, but honestly taking a deliberate break from drawing to give your mind a reset could be a good help. Specifically I mean a break to focus on something not-drawing, if you can, and not let yourself even think about it. "I haven't made anything I'm proud of/I can't anymore" (and being down on yourself in general) are thoughts that sorta become a self-fulfilling prophecy, in my experience. Come back when you're feeling more optimistic about it and have some new inspiration and THEN try to make it a more consistent habit. It's not the most helpful advice, I know, but it's what I've got.
