So like, imagine a power strength mod, a HP mod, and an armour mod, but they are better than the base mods by about 1.4x, but with each one you put on you they get even better up to like 2.3x. Also they have a another set effect where they make you resistant to one specific faction that's basically never relevant.
That's Umbra mods.
The drawback is that they use a special Umbra polarity which is a limited time resource you can only get once or twice a month and you'll need 2 or 3 to fit a full build in each frame, otherwise you'll have to trade off a mod or two.

Yellow shields seem to have some sort of timer. If the mob strays too far from the one creating the shield, it disappears for them and the shield transfers to another mob. Only noticed this for luna because you move a lot with mobs chasing you all the time.

Like yeah she can put out good damage and the buffs/debuffs are kinda nice but she feels mostly just like a turret with no CC or good mobility/evasion.

Ult Luna with battlefield concert is a very low ceiling, high reward character that is probably one of the cheapest character to build right now.
She can shit out a ton of damage from across the room but handles poorly from enemies with a ton of knockbacks or shields. She also can only shoot in front of her so she's not as good in mobbing compared to characters who can do aoe in a wide circle. She's basically high voltage bunny with insane damage but not as much mobility, but she is still fast enough to strafe around most enemies in the game. Storm Hanger's orbs literally can't catch up to her if you just move in a circle while shooting him.

I figured she might feel worse than Serena but I was surprised that she felt worse than Valby too. I thought she would be more involved with a rhythm game and so on. I guess it just feels kinda lame to only be a turret with no depth and all your guns are pointless because you can't even use them while in the turret mode which you want to be in all the time. If you want a more involved Luna then don't play Battlefield Concert, you can try Noise Surge as an alternative instead. People's issue with regular Luna was how involved she was to the detriment of the game's core gameplay. It had you play an annoying rhythmn game while having to avoid monsters and shooting them.
BC is a direct response to make Luna easier to play.

What's makes it extra funny is that the ability is tied to a dispel. And before the rework, that dispel would work on the yellow shields in hard spec ops, but NOT the yellow shields on void vessel. So now the Void Vessels which were immune to the dispel of the ability are not immune to the ability even without the dispel.

So with ult Luna I don't need to build out her weapons' unique powers right? Since she can't use them while dancing

No. She only cares about the weapon's base atk, 30% of which gets transferred to her unique weapon. Gun modules that work with her are elemental dmg, weak point, firing rate, and all damage mods. Weapon cores don't transfer and afaik, weapon substat readjustment.

Also one thing to keep note as that each skill has different buffs.
Orange beam increases crit rate, so if you notice your Luna doing less crits press this skill. Blue beam decreases enemy defense, so if your luna is not dealing enough damage then press this skill. Purple beam increases amount of targets being hit and reduces enemy atk, so if you're not killing enough mobs or if the boss is hitting you too hard, press this skill.
You press these skills once in a while if you notice your Luna getting weaker.

I gave it a bunch of beam charge speed and fire rate enhancements so it can apply the frost reduction ability as fast as possible so I can spam abilities. Is there a gun for Fusion or Frost ability users, other than Clairvoyance, so I can build a nice gift for my wife?

I would much rather give this one to Ines, since all four of her abilities are Tech (when you equip one of her red skill mods) so she's constantly stacking the pest control skill power boost stacks.

wow I shaved over 20 seconds off my previous record by getting the Orca and upgrading it to level 10.
I know I can do even better since I hit an invisible terrain object that lost a lot of speed and I also made one wrong turn.

hmm, holding down the boost button automatically stops consuming your own boost when you go over a boost pad, so you can be sure to have no lag between using the boost pad and your own boost. But I think not using up all your boost and stopping right before it runs out makes it recharge faster, like it recharges from 0 with a slight delay compared to recharging from any other value but I'm not sure.

Getting perfect rolls in trigger modules and activating that slot for all the descendants you want to play, plus a few more for future descendants if you want to pre farm. Each gun has 3 module presets by default, they're the tabs right above the module slots. Just make one gun on preset 1 and the second on preset 2.

You can just mannually swap out the element-specific modules as well. I have some weapons set up like that where all the element modules are in multi-socketed slots and I just swap them out when I want to switch.
