zero reason to bring a gimp spec for a meme debuff. raids are 10/25. shadow priests are already not even being considered because they can't give enough mana or do damage, the 5% spell damage buff isn't even worth considering in smaller groups, in larger you could fit it in, at that point just bring a higher dps as the damage they do will equal out the "mana" shadow priests will give and the debuffs for more damage as well.
It's extremely sad that shadow priests is in the current state its in because all of this was mentioned and talked about a year ago and I even tried to bring it up to the devs during the last beta only to get shouted down that "it'll be fine"

yea. I watched a friend heal a paladin in SM Arms. he was doing enormous pulls I could never dream of holding. it was horrible to look at after me struggling to keep the attention of 4 mobs. battleshout spam worked wonders early but it fell off hard after around 30. bladestorm is my last hope.

NTA but I really don't see much value beyond the lvl 3 of Prot. It's so frontloaded. Afterwards there isn't much stuff that will actually help you survive, it's some utility and cc. Also cheaper sunder which you don't need if you generate more rage using different specs.

Playing soul of iron + explorers contract is actually very fun, just wish I could do battlegrounds. Already reset twice, at lvl 22 in deadmines and at 27 when I somehow got pvp flagged and insta ganked.
