I just upgraded the gravios pieces even though I felt like it was a huge waste and it was able to tank Steve's ultimate dive bomb from full HP with a ranged weapon (lower defense). I also used 7def boost and the doshaguma weapon that has +20 defense

I used Gravios head, chest, arms, waist, and rey dau legs. Those gravios pieces give peak performance and the gravios leg skills are useless. Rey dau gamma legs give 2 stamina surge for bow. I used a RNG charm that effectively gave me 5 constitution 1 stamina surge. I filled the armor slots with 7 defense boost and 1 WEX. Damage was pretty bad. Each arrow was hitting for maybe 20 on weak spots compared to like 30-35 with an offense-focused set.

I haven't tested if bow can survive the Steve ultimate dive bomb with upgraded AT apex armor or with upgraded steve armor or anything yet (as I mentioned, I was using an offensive set that had no armor upgrades for a long time, lol).

This way we can mix and match and build to our heart's content. The Arch-Tempered sets can still be the highest raw defense-wise but also more limited in slots.

DLSS is a complete mess in Wilds, I swear (other than some fizzling on particular foliage like at the top of that mountain village) FSR actually works better. DLSS 4 in particular is fucked and no one ever talks about it

Other than save-scumming, what good are lower-rarity Artian parts? There's basically no point in them even being in the game. Any asshole who rolls them without intending to savescum will just be enormously pissed if he gets a god roll, even if he hasn't unlocked R8 yet.

you get more out of burst boost (and baked in levels of burst) than you lose from dropping levels of agitator

it uses LP instead of WEX but even at lower average uptime (55% with 2pc rey) you already beat the WEX combinations and it gets better on weapons that can trigger LP early with offsets and hyper armor

you can slot in another level of Agi, or AR1, or Flayer1

it works with craftable CS3 charm or up to AB2 if you lucked out in the 82-year mines

there's also an OdoGuts variant with AB3 godroll charm that just drops all affinity skills (still using Agi for raw) and Mind's Eye that seems to be competitive at least for speedruns

First time I tried sword and shield in the training area and it's sheath speed is insanely quick compare to other weapons. It's crazy quick. I don't see why anyone would use lance over SnS since it has perfect block in Wilds and can hit weapon with it's shield for stun damage and not lose any sharpness. Also it has the normal rolls, can use item with weapon up, FASTEST wound popping mechanics in the game. Why would anyone use lance over sword and shield???

What's the point of using lance? It's completely mogged by SnS and Gunlance.
