When the chinks said they didn't realize releasing so many duelists was bad and they couldn't fix it this year, it cleary meant every season for the rest of the year would have a Duelist + 1 other.
This season has Vanguard Angel and Duelist Daredevil.
Next season will have Strategist + Duelist since the prior season got a Vanguard.
So if Rogue and Gambit releases, one of them will be a Strategist.

Simplicity in design has no correlation to popularity. There's an initial burst due to the characters legacy from comic books and visual design then things will settle based on their meta placement.

Like Phoenix and Blade is the most perfect example of that based on the views of the launch trailers and then their actual popularity once we figure out their power levels in meta ending up being the complete opposite.

You would think that simple kits would be non-meta but that's not the case. The Devs are basing it more on mechanical skill floor so aim-intensive characters all dominate the theoretical meta levels but is Devs don't care because casuals don't play them.

The problem when you place it so the wall blocks your team is that it gives enemies no other target to see and shoot, so they all instantly destroy the wall. Or you end up placing a wall in a narrow path and funneling your team even harder via narrower point. You place the wall as if you were to place cover for a cover shooter.
