I've been playing with K9 and Yummy while dabbling with Dracotail and I find myself constantly playing other decks besides Yummy despite being a Yummy truther. It feels so fragile and like it wins by the skin of it's teeth. But it's putting up results so I don't really know how to feel about it. I'm testing for my upcoming locals worlds celebration but am testing Ryzeal Mitsu over yummy because Yummy feels bad. Assuming my locals lets us use regular banlist I mean.

You have to remember that Konami is working with limited card real estate so all the text required to put the sucker in the extra would be at the expensive of any additional effects. So it is understandable to use the mechanic that natively already does that.

One interesting idea they tried doing with Felgrand is the idea of a card that functions as removal on summon and then hops in and out of the field as a form of constant removal, of course it never really worked out.

He wasn't the first to try this however, oldheads may recall Thunderclap Skywolf as a thing some people talked about for its ace stats. It also had a removal effect that triggered on special summon from GY, except instead of a single banish it was a full-on field nuke, however unlike Felgrand which received a series of card that tried (and failed) to enable its constant recursion, Thunderclap Skywolf never received any inherent way to reborn it, meaning you really had to go out of your way to try and use this thing. Shout outs to Thunderclap Monk for its inexplicable complete lack of synergy with this card.

And then years later they decided to try the on summon removal spell constantly hopping in and out of the field with Seiyaryu, which is notable for somehow being fucking worse than Felgrand despite debuting way later and Felgrand not even being good in the first place.

Of course, none of this matters because Ame no Murakumo already does the gimmick of constantly recurring removal on summon and he does it, so, so much better than any of these ever could. Also all four of these cards have human disciples in the form of the Xs of Felgrands, Thunderclap Monk, Starry Knights and Kusanagi isn't that fucked up or what

I heavily disagree. It's the same sort of shit as Upstart Goblin. You can run 3 of it and any hand you draw with it is immediately better in this abstract version of the game with 0 interaction.
However in practice, it is only ever really useful going first and only ever really useful if the opponent has nothing to stop it, or you have guaranteed that you are able to use it (i.e. you've Droll checked).
Pot of Greed is just simply win-more. Other cards of similar styles are either not run or very rarely run. Allure of Darkness as an example is run in Maliss but that is because the draw 2, banish 1 turns a drawback to a benefit and even then more successful Maliss builds don't even run it because its winmore shit that is too easily brickable

Monarchfiend when?

You know what I love about lore decks? Playing the 'main' or 'complete' (can't think of a better word to use) version of the deck, usually featuring the main character of the lore heavily and lots of the different lore archetypes glued together to form the one cohesive deck. Branded/Despia/Bystial, Visas/Mannadium/Scareclaw, White Forest/Azamina/Sinful Spoils.
These decks are all so damn fun.
I'm hoping that the new lore archetype provides something similar when it concludes and to be fair it does seem like it will. Medius ties directly into the Power Patrons (I still hate that translation), the Artmagia stuff is cool and still has lots of potential . Hopefully it doesn't disappoint when all is said and done.

Theoretically, using those long 40-100+ hour VNs as training material is better than most other stuff since you have plenty of time listening to the characters, the characters go thru different emotions, you can turn off background noise to make it easier to train the AI and you always know which character is speaking since they rarely overlap voices unlike IRL conversations, and if all the voicefiles are just in an easy to use format like .wav or .mp3 you could just take all those for a certain character and upload them to your AI for it to have plenty of practice material without having to edit clips yourself.
