I'd like to talk about Esoterrorists and Ordem more, but there really isn't any good place to do so. Esoterrorists isn't particularly popular on /tg/, Ordem even less so, Ordem's subreddit is both entirely in Portuguese and actually dogshit with people hating the very RPG they claim to be playing day in and day out, Esoterrorists is retty much completely unknown on reddit too, etc.

I like it a lot. The combat just makes sense, ammo is scarce, so you have to be tactical, the atmosphere is top notch, and I'd give a blowjob to the sound designer. I'd say the game is on par with Dead Space 1 which is the best DS imo.

Based on what I've seen both from lurking and the few EOF threads I've made myself to test, it seems to primarily be one immensely mad projecting ESL who is pissed at how popular Cellbit is and how well the game has done, so he's resolved to make discussing it completely impossible on /v/ by any means possible.

I only skimmed through the short introduction and it was an intriguing piece: It reminded me of and had the same atmosphere as the excellent Salt & Sanctuary vidya and particularly Clive Barker's masterpiece The Great and Secret Show (a book every goddamn horror RPGer should read).
Another interesting detail is that it seemed fairly setting-agnostic? Some sort of mystical/supernatural metaphorical battle royale or tournament event could be put in most games. The "reality behind reality" theme also hinted a lot about the ol' Kult setting?
If this is something that'll spawn more cool and Jungian horror gamean I'm all for it, because Enigma of Fear was an excellent wild card.

It's meant to be a bunch of setting/campaign guidelines for Esoterrorists/Fear Itself but could be adapted to pretty much any setting. The big issue is that it wouldn't really work for settings that are super heavy with the fantasy/horror elements being well known, since the book goes into detail later that the Mystery Men are hyperspecific about selecting purely normal humans for the Ocean Game.

Another game, that did a great job creating a spooky atmosphere using only the "reality is not what it seems..." theme and a more existential sense of horror rather than "a snuff golem is chasing you with a chainsaw lol", was JAGS Wonderland. It was sort of a Hellraiser 2 affair, using surrealism and paranoia rather than body horror. I honestly dunno how a campaign in it would play out, but the books were a great read.

It's... a very different affair from the previous games we've talked about: It's sort of Shadowrun's dark twin, where the PCs are mercenary not-FBI agents in corporate space North Korea. And unlike Shadowrun's covert special operations the SLA Ops personnel (or Slops) are often accompanied by live feed cameras since the only thing that gets the ratings of a tv addicted populace in the megacity going is... a spoonful of the ol' unfiltered ultraviolence. Still, there's some very clear parallells to games like Fear Itself and Esoterrorists...
Someone actually a QRD of the game and its sourcebooks, 10-15 years back, that was pretty good and a nice introduction to the setting. Some spoilers though, so mainly a GM/lore read.

Despite the action-packed and over the top setting and presentation of the game there's quite a lot of common threads between SLA Industries and other Dave Allsop projects, recognizable elements: SLA's serial killers & Ocean Game's Tag Killers. White Earth vs The Outer Dark, etc.
Let me just say that this thing was literally MADE for becoming a vidya: Turn-based tactics, investigative and story-heavy RPG, pure FPS mayhem, it all just works. I could even see a m'vania set in the areas around The Wall of Cannibal Sector 1.

Original game she very sexy and womanly while holding aspect of young girl, goal of father was to molest her. What would father molest if she looks like a man?? Scariest part of this game is turning on all the lights in the base and getting a 60fps drop.
