I'd complete one match, win or lose, and then use your murk on the deep relic option at the jazaar. I've been using Ironeye instead of my usual Raider or Wylder because the mark is extra damage and a forced stagger which is invaluable. The early levels are a lot harder imo because of the enemy stat inflation.
If nothing else, the gaol relic will tide you over until you get good deep relics. But just like when you started out, it'll take a while.

GG Raider and Executor. Pretty decent run overall.

Found this lovely thing off a shop. Since it's an inherent paired weapon, it's very easy to meet the successive attack threshold with it.
I assume like the base game, the depth shops have a limited amount of loadouts and aren't truly random, so you'll probably see this weapon a lot.

I am still confused why they made two dual swords, both inferior to base game Radahn's weapons, that differ by a weapon art that could've been combined into a stance where you do light or heavy for either one. At least have the decency to give creative double power stance weapons like the Smelter swords.

In the end, the sad thing about most boss weapons is the player just uses an inferior version of the boss's moves. Often not even the boss's moves. For me, Soul of Cinder's weapon is still the most disappointing to the point the Ringed Knight sword's weapon art resembles Soul of Cinder's 5 hit combo more than his own weapon.

I find the main problem with big sticks is that they suck at triggering successive attack negation, which is the easiest path to not getting oneshotted in depths. Fists are like the only strength weapons that work well with that passive.

How does aggro even work? +12 less likely to be targeted doesn't seem to do shit when I play ironeye or recluse and I have to spend most of the fight focused on dodging and hope my teammates can do some damage in the meantime. We even had a guardian with blocking draws aggro and it didn't matter, horseman was on me 80% of the fight. Are the range classes the real tanks? Did they code it backwards as a joke? Should I play guardian with a bow?

I've heard it's based on amount of hits you land. Apparently the "draw aggro on guard" effect simply makes it so blocking an attack counts as a hit, just guarding alone will do nothing.

I've played with randos from depth 1 to partially through depth 3 and I haven't had too many bad experiences. The worst was some chucklefucks that wanted to do day 1 noklateo and died repeatedly to all the red mobs in it, but we still won in the end.

The difficulty isn't too bad, but the mode feels poorly designed.

Fighting Red bosses is supposed to be a risk vs reward situation, like fighting day 2 bosses in the base game, but the unique red passives are so shit, and the guaranteed negative passives can be so bad, that you might walk out of a bossfight that is harder than the Nightlord with nothing but a few extra runes.
So it becomes a game of avoiding half of the map.
So far I have had more luck finding Legendary weapons than reds that I don't just throw away due to having either useless passives or some terrible drawback.

The only debuffs I’ve found to be outright terrible is the just flat dmg negation removal ones, the dmg negation removed at lower stamina and the rot buildup at less than max hp.
The rest all have their uses or are pretty optimal for some characters like dmg negation removal on evasion for executie
